"We visited Guu's for the first time since the new owners took over, celebrating a birthday during lunch. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the friendly owner and staff. Our waitress was quick to attend to us, bringing a pitcher of water to keep our cups filled, which we really appreciated. The food arrived promptly, which was great given that it was a lunch hour (and we had made a reservation). Everything we ordered was delicious, with no complaints.
The jalapeño mac and cheese came in a generous portion and had quite a kick, so be sure to mention if you prefer it less spicy. The person who ordered it loved it, so that wasn't an issue. Everyone enjoyed their fries, and the creamy wild rice soup was thick, which we personally liked. The burgers were flavorful, and the taco salad was massive.
Overall, it's a fantastic place to visit and we plan to return! We're especially looking forward to trying the fish fry next time. As a sweet bonus, they surprised the birthday girl with a huge, impressive, and rich chocolate brownie and ice cream for dessert! Hats off to this amazing service team!"
