"Our family had just arrived to Baton Rouge for thanksgiving and had no food at our hotel. We were desperate and about to pull into a gas station as almost everywhere was closed for the holiday. We stopped here seeing it was one of the few places open, but weren't expecting the food to be anything special. We were very pleasantly surprised. Most of us ordered the chicken shawarma on the recommendation of the cashier, which was solid. One person ordered the lamb gyro which was tasty as well. The spinach pie spanakopita was perhaps our favorite: flaky, with creamy filling very hearty and delicious. Had to order more to go!Service was kind and very attentive despite the to go food environment. Staff made sure to check on us, bringing refills and sauce (the garlic spread was very yummy). We also ordered baclava on the way out, which the owner graciously gave to us on the house. Everyone in our group was very happy and full by the end of our meal and are even trying to plan another visit before we leave in a couple days."
