"I brought my daughter here for dinner and some bonding time it was good. Food was good. My daughters a picky eater and wanted half my food for later lol so that's saying something. Only thing I wasn't too happy about was the server we had. At first shewas friendly. After taking the order her whole mood shifted. I try to make small talk and very blank emotionless responses. Shewas more concerned with the bigger party there. Sure I get it bigger partner bigger tip but went from. A 13 to 5 dollar tip realfast and she's honestly lucky I gave that. I asked for a extra togo box and the eye roll just pushed it. So me and my daughterhad a great time and what made up for the whole experience was the other server who was working come by and started taking theplates away and helped me the stuff to go which I told her she didn't have too but it was very nice of her. I asked her name andit's killing me I can't remember it because I wanted her to get the credit she deserves. Within the 2 minutes she helped me Iwas disappointed I didn't get her as a server from the beginning.but she made the entire night. And I wouldn't be coming back ifshe didn't change my opinion. Now if she texts me I'll be back like every other day ????.like seriously though. The food wasntbad. I asked how the meatloaf was and automatically our server shook her head and said bland nothing special basic. I mean ifthat's her opinion I understand but why lose the company you work for by downplaying the items on their menu. So ended up withthe chicken and broccoli instead in garlic sauce. It was just like the one I would get from old job and I couldn't find thatanywhere else like the way they made it so I was very surprised and happy. I brought a ham and egg on a hard roll to go and Icame back and my cat ate the entire sandwich. So me, my kid, and cat all seemed to enjoy the food so I'd recommend it. But thatserver at the end brought you a repeat customer hands down. I"

"This was my first time walking into this café. It has been on my radar for sometime too. After a food shopping trip, I walk in with my loaded shopping cart into a pretty empty café. It looks cute and simple at a glance. There were no other customers, just two waitresses and the cook in the back. The two waitresses were caught in conversation on the side, but I still said hello as I entered. No response. I thought maybe they didn't hear me, but they definitely saw me enter. I thought it more odd that neither one greeted me. I parked my wagon, helped myself to a menu from the counter since they were still talking, and just briefly looked through it. Only when I walked up to the counter did one of the waitresses go behind the counter to take my order. I asked to confirm if they had chicken tenders and fries, she confirmed. I asked how much and she said $12 and some amount of change. I then asked about the price of the mushroom and Swiss burger with fries, she told me. Perhaps my next sentence confused her, but she thought I was ordering both, to which I said no, I'm just trying to pick between one or the other. She said okay and tended to a woman who entered and ordered a coffee I believe. I also noticed some man had a nice breakfast spread at the first table (I guess he ordered before I got there and came back . Granted, I was still at the counter debating so I was taking up space, so when the waitress made a gesture and addressed me as ma'am or excused me (I forgot what she said , but I understood that I was in the way. I moved over, told her I wanted the chicken tenders and fries. I paid via tap pay, and just waited by my wagon. I figured it would take up to ten minutes. Now I did notice something as I waited. There was another review I read that pointed this out too. The waitresses did resume their side conversation. However, I couldn't help but notice they seemed more lively after a small group of two or three Hispanic women walked in. Probably middle aged. I'm not fluent in the Spanish language though I am still learning, so I can pick up on a few words. The conversation just sounded familial and friendly, perhaps they were regulars. Regardless if they were regulars or not, any person who walks into a dining environment should feel welcomed as they are greeted. I probably should have just done a 180 degree turn after I first walked in and wasn't greeted. Last thing I'll say, about the food itself, it was adequate, nothing special. Just a typical chicken tender and fries. Just the portions were small in my opinion. The tenders were small, about the size of 4 inches in length, 2 in width. There were 4 of them. The fries were okay, that portion was also small, literally a handful of fries. Needless to say I don't think it was worth $12 and change. Perhaps the burger would have been more satisfying. In conclusion, for a first time visit, I'll keep a note to myself that I should have just gone to the Dale Diner up the block instead. (I do not see myself returning here nor do I recommend it...unless you're Hispanic I guess Service: Takeaway Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"
