"Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start! Before we even got to Second Happy Door, the host greeted us with menus, and they were very polite. Once we sat down, we were served refreshing water with ice and napkins—such attentive service! Our waiter came by shortly after to take our orders, and the coffee arrived quickly. We ordered the French Toast Deluxe, which came with eggs and cheese, as well as cheddar cheese and extra pancakes. Honestly, this was the best French toast I've ever had! It was perfectly warm and cooked just right in the middle. The flavor was outstanding; the cook truly nailed it. The presentation was also impressive!"

"To celebrate my birthday, I had a few local restaurants to choose from, but with our 5-week-old baby girl, we were limited. This was our first night out, and I picked my favorite place for dinner. We are always satisfied with the food and the early bird special. The staff is consistently attentive, and the menu offers plenty of options. I love this restaurant, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and enjoy our first night out in a few weeks. It's a large local diner in an area with several choices, but it's definitely our favorite."

"In June 2020, my partner and I found ourselves in need of a meal one evening. We decided to try a new restaurant or support a local family-owned establishment. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly customer service over the phone from Laurie. We placed an order for the beef brisket dinner with fries and macaroni and cheese. To our delight, the food arrived in just 25 minutes, much quicker than the estimated 45 minutes. This speedy delivery was a pleasant surprise as we were quite hungry. We were impressed not only by the quality of the food but also by the exceptional service from the person who delivered our meal, who we believe was named Dawn. Good luck to the restaurant!"

"Not sure why this place is not full when we go here? The food is excellent and authentic. The service is fantastic. The portions are large. And the drinks are also great. Maybe because our family likes Greek food more than others. We had brunch there on Sunday and we got the Champagne package, 3 different type of juices and fresh fruit for the glasses. "Unfamiliar with the area, we asked the staff at our hotel for dining recommendations, and they provided us with a list but emphasized that State Line was excellent. They were spot on! We were a group of two adults and five kids, and astonishingly, all seven meals arrived in under 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it! Everyone was satisfied with their food, and my burger was cooked exactly how I wanted it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through, especially if you're in a hurry."

"Was looking forward to delicious breakfast options, but I left with a huge disappointment. I ordered French toast deluxe and ask the waiter to swap out the ham for an egg and he did, but when I received my check, he charged me for the egg. I asked him whyhe charged me when I wanted the egg instead of ham, and he said that it didn?t work that way. That?s is so ridiculous! Ispecifically said that I wanted the egg instead of ham, and why didn?t he tell me at first? I was overall not pleased with thefood. The French toast and egg were average, the bacon was way too overcooked, and the sausage tasted bland. I might as well goto the McDonald?s across from this restaurant if I have to spend $20 tip on this type of food and service. Before I left, Iasked him to split a $20 so that I could tip him and he gave me 4 $5?s. This is him asking me to tip him $5, which is almost26%! Did he really expect me to tip him such a generous amount when he charged me for $1 for the egg, wasn?t so friendly, and Ididn?t even ask for additional service once? The impression that the waiter gave me is that he is greedy and extremelyunprofessional. I am always pretty generous with tips as I always give at least 15-18% or more (never less), but this was thevery first time that I gave a tip way below what I usually give."

"the two stars are for the pizza. we are for the contributors, it would be zero. after a whole day of movement, we venture into a plaza where we found in the inner city pizza at 19:30 clock. of the three present employees we were received like aliens from the young lady on the theke. first, she acted as if we were interrupting something important (a conversation about another customer who said it was hot like egg or as if we were at the wrong place. my man, exhausted from the day we had, asks whether they have any specificities like a pizza soda, instead of answering it, it makes a face and shows on the menu. in this time it would have taken two seconds to just say yes. her demon is sucked. all he asked her, she answered unreliablely. I'm sure she thought she was sweet, but instead she showed immature and was classless. we have gone while she introduces our order and after her return, she makes a face again as if we disturbed her. we have two small, mediocre pizzas and two cokse after home. of the strength of the posture, the nine dollars were not worth the effort. it was our first and last visit. if my team members treat each ****, they'd be gone in the second I heard of it. when the attitudes of the people are crapped, they expect the same to be careful in their eating. they need to retrain their employees to be more professional, the return would be worth it. as far as pizza is concerned, this is cheaper and better."

"Just popped by to praise ZZ Pizza and Kabob and share my experiences. We get consistently high quality food from ZZ. Usually when I order from a hole-in-the-wall pizza place, my expectations are pretty low. I expect decent pizza and an awful salad that isn’t well thought out or created with fresh ingredients. ZZ seems to care about all its food. From the chef’s special Mediterranean dishes to the pizzas. The one thing we’ve ordered from them that has been lackluster is the chicken fingers fries. I don’t mind that because what are they going to do? They’re a pizza place run by excellent Mediterranean cooks. I’m sure they just throw frozen Costco chicken fingers and fries in the fry basket. One thing I do like about their fries is that they are unseasoned. So when they arrive, I can sprinkle on Lawry’s and Old Bay ti make them perfect. The last time we ordered (yesterday), the bbq chicken pizza was delicious, with fresh red onion and juicy chicken and the salad was incredible. Nestled in the feta and olives were heirloom tomatoes of several colors and they were deliciously sweet. The banana peppers had the perfect tang. You can tell that ZZ takes time to get their lettuce mix cut down to perfect sizes for your fork. The balsamic dressing seemed homemade. The salad was so good, I barely ate any pizza. We order from ZZ a lot. We’ve tried a lot of places around Brookland/Hyattsville, but I’d recommend this gem in Mt. Rainier anytime. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30"

"I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. It tasted better than just your typical diner. Pancakes were large, buttery and soft, same goes for the french toast. County fried chicken was delicious with the sausage gravy and chicken and waffle was great with a perfectly fried piece of boneless chicken breast paired with a buttery waffle. Would come back."

"After relocating to the area four years ago, we found this pizza place to be the only one that met our standard of mediocrity. We were let down by the lack of high-quality pizza options around, but we continued to order from them nonetheless. However, from today, we will no longer be placing orders with them due to their unacceptable actions. In my experience, I have never encountered a delivery service that would return food, even when it wasn't their mistake. Usually, businesses take responsibility for their mistakes, but today was different. We received not only our own order but also someone else's pizza. I sincerely hope they don’t deliver it to the intended recipient. This situation is troubling for so many reasons, and I wish for the sake of future customers that they will never have to experience this again!"

"This place is awesome, the employees are great, very nice people. We we're filming Law and Order SVU, I didn't want to eat free breakfast that production offered that morning, so I gave this place a shot. I ordered the #4 breakfast sandwich, 2 eggs with roast beef cheese and grilled onions. I took just 1 bite of the sandwich, and I was in heaven, so delicious. Again, instead of getting the free lunch, I decided to have lunch here. This time, I ordered the Staten Island hero, and got a side order of mac and cheese. Absolute work of art, I can't say anything bad about this place. Another great meal. If your in the area stop by, you won't be disappointed, and you'll leave very happy and full."

"We stopped in here before the Yankee game on Labor Day. Bar downstairs and up on the rooftop. We actually came for breakfast. Our waitress was very nice and on top of everything. Very clean inside and played lots of great music mixes. Reasonably priced for being so close to Yankee Stadium.The food was good. I got the western omelette on a roll. It barely filled me. Luckily my kids never finish their food. I got to have some crispy delicious fries. Also had sone bites of the sausage egg and cheese. They make it with links not Pattie’s. The best was the breakfast wrap. Eggs, ham, cheese, peppers, onions, tomatoes. Lots of flavor tasted mixed together nicely. Nice spot to eat. Later on is a fun environment for drinks."
