"I ordered the Baked macaroni and cheese on a Friday. The color was extremely orange unlike most macaroni and cheese. It was served on a very hot plate but the food was barely even warm. It feels like they heated the plate, not the actual food as advertised on their menu. The taste was mediocre at best. It could have possibly tasted better if it was actually baked. The cheese did not taste like real cheese but more like from a can. This is not a dish I would recommend unless they actually serve it as advertised on their menu. I also tasted the grilled cheese, French fries and cole slaw which was really good. The best part of my Southfork experience was the awesome waitress Debbie Rose Dinardo. This waitress went above and beyond with a smile and just great service from her. Southpark, Debbie Rose Dinardo is a gem. Keep her busy!!Thank you Debbie!"

"A bunch of us get together at least once a month friends get together at different places last night we picked Anastasia's in Antioch and I have to tell everybody that it was the BEST time Gina one of the owners took very good care of us on a very busy Saturday night she reserved seats for us all. "Our experience at Christos tonight was absolutely horrible. When we arrived the manager asked us to wait because they were out of menus. An elderly couple were behind us and I overheard the man say he needed to sit down so I asked the hostess if we could all be seated without menus and was told we needed to wait for the manager. Once we were seated, the waitress came and asked me and my partner for our drink order and then turned and left. When she came back I asked her to take our friend’s drink order and she told our friend in a nasty tone that she had asked her if she wanted a drink and she had said no. My friend told her she didn’t ask her and I confirmed that. The waitress then argued with both of us about it so I asked my partner if we should just leave because it was quite uncomfortable. The waitress then leaned on the empty chair and yelled, “Do you want to order? Do you want to order?” Over and over and over. We all just looked at her and our friend told her to leave. Our friend then went outside and I requested the manager. The waitress went and talked to the manager and he proceeded to do everything but come talk to us. My partner went outside and I went up to the desk to wait. When the manager did come talk to me I told him what happened and he said that we were impatient from the moment we got there because we told his trainee to seat us without menus. I told him we were not in a hurry and I ASKED for all of us to be seated because of what the elderly man behind us had said. I also told him I only asked for our friend’s drink order to be taken-we weren’t even ready to order food. Our friend had never had Greek food so we were still explaining all the items on the menu. The manager said he and the owner would talk with the waitress and I thanked him for that but also let him know I would be posting this review. There’s more that transpired but not enough space here to add it. We didn’t eat but I rated the food high because it’s always been good."

"I live in South Minneapolis, and some time ago, my neighborhood suffered a great loss when Curran's closed. It was a special place. Not unique, but special. The kind of place that always seems to have 6 to 8 of the same roasting group of a dozen or so elderly patrons. Where the TVs are always playing whatever sports are on, where the decor clearly hasn't changed for a couple of decades, and where the menu goes on just a page or two longer than it seems like it should. I've been looking for my new Curran's ever since they closed. This place is a strong front-runner. My girlfriend and I gave the menu a thorough once-over before selecting the items that are absolutely mandatory for a place like this to get right. Burger with fries, Reuben with onion rings, chicken finger appetizer. Her burger came with incorrect toppings at first, but once the mistake was noticed, a replacement was out in mere minutes. The Reuben was top notch. Corned beef was tender but not the prepackaged grocery store cold-cut beef you sometimes get at chain restaurants. Kraut and dressing ratios were spot-on. The replacement burger was nicely charred and cooked to a perfect medium as requested. The chicken fingers were actually kind of exceptional, surprisingly, with a satisfyiny shatter to the coating, and the honey mustard had exactly the right level of honey. The perfect replacement for Curran's would serve breakfast all day instead of just breakfast hours, but as the Rolling Stones said, you can't always get a waffle with your club sandwich. I'll definitely be back some morning to check out that breakfast menu, as well, I imagine, as to order, you know, an actual pizza from what is nominally a pizzeria. Keep up the good work, TJ's."

"2021-10-20: Did this place shut down? There is another in Vernon Hills, with an older, rude Greek guy who flatters ice. Is that Haralambos, a.k.a. Bob I once saw in Deerfield? The VH site has no potato chips in the style of New York, at least at the time of this letter. Well, then, I used* to love the mini-me gyros here for their mild flavors and just portions. Had them with the New York potato chips I saw someone (bob? fry. They were crispy and salty as what was found in the east, but they are still very good. The Chili and Tamale we had were just fine. Our Sodabrunnendrink was green river Soda, brand name not remembered, which really paired well with the circles. Definitely came back several times, especially because my son and I liked these mini-mes better than the tacos nearby. Don't misunderstand me: this Taco place is good, but Bobo's mini girls were big, or, as we did, with cilantro and just a little wicy salsa, each from home. The fusion tasted fantastic."

"The staff was very patient while I was deciding on my order, and everything truly tasted freshly made. They offer great options for lemonade and teas compared to other fast-casual restaurants. My only complaint is that the staff didn't manage a group of 6-year-olds who kept climbing over the counter. They were pretending to have fistfights and hugging each other right in the payment area, with no adult supervision around to keep them in line. "I came to Luna Grill after an absolutely brutal day. Went to order the chicken and beef sirloin kebab plate but no the restaurant was out of the beef sirloin. I asked if they could substitute a lamb kebab for the beef since they were out of the beef. They said yes. I also asked for no rice and extra salad which they did, however they were out of the regular salad dressing cups and so I was given three very small ones. Not sure that?s going to be quite enough dressing for extra salad but we shall see. Luckily, the food is really good and I am grateful for this meal at the end of a long hard day."

"It was my birthday, and although I adore this venue and the performers, the service was incredibly disappointing. At our table of five, everyone else received their drinks and service repeatedly, while I kept getting overlooked, even after mentioning multiple times that it was my birthday. It took nearly an hour for my first drink to arrive, by which point my friends were already tipsy. I’m not sure why I was the only one not being served at our table. I had booked the table and brought the group, so the overall service experience was very frustrating."

"My boyfriend and I finally decided to order saffron grill after a year of living right across from it. We love Mediterranean food but the mixed reviews held us back from ordering sooner. I got a chicken kebab wrap and the chicken was very dry and chewy, pretty much inedible. We paid $10 for a baba ganoush appetizer to be given a small ramekin of dip that was just clumpy bits of eggplant, not properly blended or seasoned. My boyfriend got the greek gyro and the meat tasted as if it was sitting out all day under a heat lamp. We spent $40 tip to only eat the fries that came with our meals. Listen to the bad reviews and order somewhere else"
