"I've taken some time to reflect on my experience at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive, which was a plus. The restaurant itself seemed a bit worn down, but that’s typical for many American Chinese eateries, so I don't hold that against them. However, the most important aspect—the food—was disappointing. The sesame noodles were soggy and overly coated in tahini, which made them unappetizing. The dumplings had good flavor but were tough, possibly due to their large size which made it hard to cook them thoroughly. The General Tso's chicken, a common benchmark for new places, had an odd flavor that might have been shrimp paste (which we wouldn't mind), but since that ingredient wasn’t listed, it raised some concerns about the chicken potentially being spoiled. We chose to be cautious and left some food uneaten. Overall, I can't recommend China Kitchen."
