We recently dined at The Millers Table Restaurant in Sawmill Creek Resort, Huron, Ohio, with a group of seven during the Christmas holidays. As local residents, we had heard mixed reviews before making our visit. In our group, three people ordered the braised short ribs, two chose the walleye, and two selected pasta dishes. The short ribs and walleye received “okay to good” feedback from our party, but the pasta dishes were disappointing. Both pasta entrees, which featured different types of pasta, were plagued by the same issue: clumpy, sticky noodles. My dish had four to five large clumps that I had to cut apart just to eat. Our server acknowledged the problem and offered to replace the dishes, but we weren’t willing to risk the wait for a potential repeat of the same issue.
On a positive note, we enjoyed the ambience and the service was very good. Overall, we would rate our experience a 3 out of 5 stars, with some members of our group unlikely to return to this restaurant."
