"I have driven by this place for years!!! I'm mad I hadn't stopped in sooner. After reading they had been voted best burger, I finally gave it a try. I was disappointed. Definitely in my top 3!!! The meat to bun ratio was spot on. The patties weren't too thick or thin. Good flat top searing. I was impressed. The Mac n cheese and cakes were delicious too. I'll definitely be back to give the BBQ a try.!!"

"Went here for a get together with family. It's a cozy place. The waitresses seemed a little put out and on the annoyed side. Maybe because they were busy and overwhelmed. (Time to get more help? Our food was brought to us quickly after ordering. We all had different things. I had a Reuben sandwich. It was on the tasteless side. The bread had most of the flavor. The meat was moist and had no flavor. The sauerkraut didn't even have a smell to it and there was no flavor. (Which my husband was grateful for I think the chips are freshly made and were good. My kids liked the BLT sandwich and were asking for another. My husband had the Club sandwich. He kept commenting on how big the sandwich was and how good it was. The rest of my family was happy with their meals. I will be giving The Village Bistro another try. I just won't be getting the Reuben sandwich."

"DO NOT EAT HERE! THEY KEEP THE EGGS AND BREAD SITTING OUTSIDE ON THEIR BREAK TABLE IN 100 DEGREE HEAT! This place is the worst! It's ran like a joke. You have a bunch of kids that just stand around and bump into each other. There's absolutely zero organization. We were seated with nothing, not a menu, and no one to take our drink order. We found a single menu and had to pass it around to each other because whoever our waitress was thought that was okay. They cook the food one plate at a time if they even cook it at all our food today was raw after an hour and a half wait. So even if it was hot at one point in time it's not by the time it eventually makes it to the table. The waitresses response is well its gonna be a while when asked about the already long wait. Also had to park around back and was so happy I didn't actually eat any food there because they had all the eggs and bread sitting outside on their break table in this heat. Eat here if you want terrible service, even worse excuses, and possibly salmonella! The donut shop up the road saved the day!"

"Another great visit to Global Cafe! My Global latte (dark chocolate w/chile infused simple syrup was amaaaazing and my Global quesadilla was really yummy! Crystal got the Strawberry and Banana pancakes and....... WOW! We are already looking forward to our next visit! "I have been to this location a handful of times. Let?s just say first impressions are lasting once I originally supplied a review under the name big boys diner I believe I have to find it so I can attribute it to the proper name. This morning I went in and was not greeted by the same stone faced woman I encountered sitting at the bar the first time I went here. on a previous visit she was preoccupied with her cell phone and somehow she thought that I was supposed to know that she worked there ? Unlike the first time she wasn?t preoccupied with her cell phone. However like the first time she just looked at me as though I?m supposed to know that she was ready to take my order.????? suggestion: say ?good morning ? or ? how may I help you?? Maybe it?s me afterall I was raised with manners but I would think an establishment wants repeat customers. I will not be a repeat customer going forward. Then the lone waitress whom I have tipped generously in the past not today and I never not tip but today I set a precedent . I asked her if I could pay my bill to save time and her response to me was ?I don?t know what you had.?? suggestion: ? what did you order?? or ?let Me grab your check I?ll be right back.?????? I service in this place reminds me of something that you would see on TV when a prison cafeteria is depicted. Waitress did tell me to ?have a nice day.?? My day will be great and my money will be spent elsewhere going forward!? Climate definitely starts at the top. It is evident to me that the employment relationship is extremely friendly. Please sprinkle a dash of professionalism and a pinch of old fashioned greetings such as ?hello? or ?hi? or just ?smirk.?????? One word, one gesture at a time- baby steps. "A little pricey and a little greasy but overall a cute, pleasant place to get a bite to eat. I came in around 12:30 PM for lunch/brunch time, and got the Shrimp and Grits and the horchata. The meal was tasty but fairly greasy. Portion size was solid but wouldn't have stuffed me if I was very very hungry. Horchata was $5 and was good (though I don't have many points of comparison). What stands out about M&P is the ambiance and the service. The interior is very cute, with lovely decor. I'm sure this would make a great place to chat over coffee, or hang out for a while. The service is very good. Our server was extremely attentive and kind, and made the whole experience really lovely. I am not exactly dying to return for the food (overall good but expensive), but it's good to know that there's a solid spot in Lakeview that will make for a pleasant dining experience."

"Shannon (aka the best server) made our Bogy's experience so enjoyable. When I asked what's the best drink/food to get Shannon did not disappoint with her recommendation. The truffle Mac n cheese and the whiskey sours made me want more! The service simply put is the best and they put a lot of work in the drinks/food that are simply delicious and wonderful. I'd recommend anyone to this place because it caters to all types of bars. It has a dive bar feel with flash and cleanliness of an upscale, and the service to match any bar."
