"The decor is charming, featuring unique bottles, watches, and photos from around the city. In one corner, there's an adorable cottage filled with more quirky knickknacks. The dining tables are simple, with round and rectangular shapes adorned in a vinyl flower pattern that adds to the cozy, home-like atmosphere. The space, with just five tables, feels intimate and inviting, enhanced by the sounds and smells wafting from the open kitchen. Now let's talk about the food. While I’ve never traveled to the Czech Republic, this meal inspired me to buy a ticket and explore its cuisine. I opted for the popular "Sampler Combo," selecting Halushka as one of my sides. The owner, Dan, jokingly warned me about potential vampire encounters due to the garlic in my dish, and I must say, I wouldn’t have minded a bit more garlic! The meal included Holubki, City Chicken (a delightful dish of white meat on a spit), and fresh Pirohi. Everything was served in paperboard containers, which I found charming; it struck a nice balance between a casual snack and a festive dining experience, and the flavors were so satisfying that I knew I’d be returning. When I asked Dan about dessert options, he offered some walnut kolachki from behind the counter and apologized for not having more sweets available. We couldn’t resist and ended up ordering a dozen to take with us. We might have finished them all before even reaching Robinson if it weren't for my subconscious putting the brakes on our indulgence. It seemed like a quiet day for the restaurant, with only one other customer ordering some macaroni and potato salad, but they enthusiastically told me it was the best place in the city—and I wholeheartedly agree. If you're in Binghamton, even just briefly, make sure to stop by this wonderful spot; it's a must-visit!"
