"Jilly's was rebuilt better than ever after burning down during the pandemic. With the pandemic still ongoing, there are plenty of outdoor tables available. The food is delicious, and the service is friendly and efficient. I deducted one star because the staff did not wear masks. I had the cream of crab soup and a chicken salad sandwich on a Kaiser roll. The roll resembled a hamburger bun more than a traditional Kaiser roll. The chicken salad was good, and the cream of crab soup was excellent, packed with lots of crab meat. However, there were more pieces of crab shell than I usually expect in crab soup. My wife enjoyed the cream of crab soup and a shrimp salad sandwich, both of which were good. Our lunch companions had the chef’s salad. The newly rebuilt restaurant is clean and thoughtfully designed. In September 2022, I returned for lunch with friends; all of us had salads, which were very tasty and satisfying. We ate outside due to the ongoing pandemic. Overall, excellent food and service."
