"DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I ordered a pizza through delivery and they put the incorrect toppings on my pizza. When I called to let them know they said “we ran out and forgot to call you” I asked them to bring me a new pizza and proceeded to asked to to “manage” this time and they will write my name down to compensate me the next time I ordered. I asked why won’t they just remake a new pizza, they then said I would have to come in to order it and wait for it. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! The driver refused to get out of the car, and then still asked to keep my change! NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN!"

"Like most people, you have a go to pizza place. We just moved to Killingly a few months ago and have already tried a few pizza places. We've ordered several times from Johnny's. All of them have been decent but tonight made us not want to return. We ordered a large buffalo chicken calzone and Mozzarella sticks. Every place we have ever ordered this it was enough to feed at least two people, as a large pizza could, as well as comea in a large pizza box. However at pick up, my husband came out with a medium sized styrofoam to-go container. It was more so the size of a handheld meat pie. He said he triple confirmed with the lady at pick up that it was a LARGE calzone. It tasted like ricotta that had been LIGHTLY basted with buffalo sauce as an after thought and just fell apart every where. Total of this meal was like $27...yikes."

"I am qualifying this review with the fact that I have already spoken with the manager and I have been assured the next time we are there we will be taken care of . The fact of the matter is we do eat there often but we found the lobster servings to be some what skimpy on the day we dined which was New Year 's Eve. I would not have mentioned it except we received a phone call regarding a scheduling issue and when queried about our experience from the night before I mentioned it and was assured the issue would be addressed."

"I booked this reservation on Open Table for Wednesday September at p.m. on September I even received an email and text on Tuesday September requesting that I confirm as to whether or not I would be there-I replied that I would. Imagine my surprise upon our arrival on Wednesday evening at p.m. to find that Bannings was closed. There was a sign on the door stating the restaurant was only open Thursday through Sunday. In the future, Open Table needs to verify with restaurants using their service what the exact operating hours are. I will no longer be using Open Table to make reservations as frequently now."

"We ordered takeout today: a large Hawaiian pizza, a large cheese pizza, and some big mozzarella sticks. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing and poorly cooked. Everything was soggy, and I had to reheat it in my oven for an additional 25 minutes. This was my first and last experience getting food from this restaurant."

"I thought this place would have great fresh seafood but I was so wrong! Only thing that was good was the lobster bisque. We ordered calamari for the table and it tasted stale. I ordered the surf and turf , I asked for a medium steak and my steak was burnt. None of us enjoyed our food and it was very disappointing."

"That's the real deal. Old school homemade Italian food. Frank plays on the radio. Great decor. Many wine bottles and wood. The side salad was crispy with tomatoes and purple cabbage. The bread is baked to order when you sit down and absolutely melts in your mouth. For lunch I ordered the eggplant parmesan and it was delicious. It came with Ziti and sauce. My friend ordered the chicken Alfredo with broccoli and she almost licked her plate. The sauce was creamy and they were a lot of it. To dessert we decided to share the cheesecake. We asked for chocolate sauce and our waitress, who was absolutely wonderful, not only shred chocolate upstairs, but also white chocolate. She even split the pane into two plates for us. The cheese cake was silky smooth and decadent. By far the best Italian food I had in time. I highly recommend stopping at lunch or dinner. Lunch for two including dessert was less than $50."

"Excellent food, atmosphere, service. Plenty of TVs to watch the big game as well as local live music in the evenings. My friends and I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday. Immediately seated, served our first round (huge drink menu), ordered an appetizer of raw oysters, and caught the Final Four just before the live music started. For dinner, each of us ordered something different and none of us had a single complaint. Food was hot, delicious, and quick. Murphy's will forever be my go-to locale when I'm in the area."

"I decided to give this restaurant a try since my favorite Greek spot closed down, but I honestly can't understand how it has a 4.7 rating. My meal was quite disappointing. The chicken in my gyro had a rubbery texture and tasted like it was just reheated deli meat—easily the worst chicken gyro I've ever had. I can confidently say that even Arby's gyros are better than this. I also ordered the chicken soup, which was extremely bland and reminded me of canned Campbell's soup. It's frustrating that great places close while places like this continue to operate. I ended up throwing away about 85% of my meal. I usually don't write negative reviews, but the food was simply inedible, and with prices being so high these days, it feels like a waste."

"OUR SERVER ANTHONY MADE THE VISIT A NICE EXPERIENCE!!! I walk with a cane and he asked whether I wanted a booth or a table first, then he was truthful when we asked him questions about the menu and the drinks! My daughter got the chicken nachos and I got the philly steak sandwich; the nachos were plentiful and looked and tasted good, but the philly steak was a huge sub roll with a little bit of meat in it and tasted plain, so Anthony offered me something else with no charge! (We later saw another man with a philly sandwich that had the meat falling out, so I guess they had cooked more or I hope that's what it was! We ordered 2 Mermaid Lemonade drinks and all you could taste was the alcohol, so it wasn't very good even though it looked good! The people were nice, but we probably won't come back again!"

"Gyro pizzas are rare in the pizza world and so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered them on the menu. The first time I ordered I specifically requested the feta be placed on the pizza when it came out of the oven. By doing so, the feta cheese melts on top of the mozzeral retaining its flavor instead of being buried under the mozzerella. Sadly, this was not done but the owner without any hesitation took my pizza back and the feta was added. The pizza had tasty cheese, ample gyro meat and the crust was cooked to a nice brown and was the perfect thickness. Last Friday, I had a large group over and again ordered a gyro pizza, but added a taco pizza and cheese pizza. All three were cooked to perfection and were very tasty. Unfortunately. we ordered 20 wings and they were small and tasted overcooked. The wing sauce was tasty though the prepackaged Ken's Blue Cheese was underwhelming.I would give 5 stars for the pizza and 1 star for the wings. I will add that the pizza has been excellent each time I have ordered and this has become my go to pizza place. Don't forget to order via the Slice App and save yourself a buck or so."

"Excellent large slice of pizza w 2 toppings added for $3.85 total and was an entire meal. Great taste and value. Mozza and sauce were my style and plentiful. Friendly gentleman at the counter. They just missed 5 stars because I have a pet-peeve about sanitation and the men's room had no soap, table had crumbs etc. I'll be back again for sure. If soap is available and a bit of effort keeping tables clean is made, will put in a 5 star review for sure. Update: I liked it so much I came back again the next day. Unfortunately there's still no soap in the bathroom, table I sat at had crumbs all over and the pizza was significantly less toppings and not like the day before. So I really enjoyed it yesterday but it was very average today. It appears that the pizza will be inconsistent so have a good look at what's on display before ordering."
