"Small place but good. Waitress was pleasant and pointed and may very well have been cooking a portion of the meal, but I cannot be certain. ; I ordered the signature dish which is what the restaurant is named after (or visa versa , 'La Guadalupana '. This $13 dish is described as coming with chicken, pork, cactus and flautas (it doesn 't mention which type of flautas on the menu but chicken flautas was served to me. Rice, beans (black , and guacamole is presented on the plate along with a garnish of pico de gallo, fresh sliced tomatoes and fresh pieces of crispy lettuce topped with a single ring of onion. Before ordering, the waitress brought chips and salsa to my table and asked if I would like a beverage (Pepsi was served in the old time bottles! The chips were very fresh as was the salsa. The salsa will be spicy to some and the chips will be salty to others, but both suited my tastes. The chips were also drizzled with black beans with what I do believe was Cotija cheese sprinkled all over. :oD When the main dish was set down it presented very well. There were two servings of pan fried pork and one serving of chicken and no serving of cactus (bumma! . The chicken and pork were presented with excellent caramelized onions. The chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. The pork was only *slightly* dry but tasted very good. I sure would have liked to had tried their cactus... :o The flautas were good as well and drizzled with sour cream. The tortillas were excellent. No. I mean it. They were excellent. That is coming from someone who doesn 't like corn tortillas at all in the United States. Their recipe is superb. All in all, the food here is very good. It 's AUTHENTIC and not Americanized at all. Matter of fact, I would bet 10 bucks the recipes here are from either the cook or the owner 's grandmother or great grandmother. I will be back to eat here. The food tastes like someone 's home cooked meal and is tasty. Important Note: They do *not* take credit cards. Cash only."
