"Mike turned my whole night around. One of the best bartenders I have had in the state of Colorado and I’ve lived here for 9 years. I work in the industry, and have worked in every facet of the industry for most of my life.Over the last several years, I haven’t been a stranger to Benders. Hooper has worked her butt off to make this place somewhere everyone can feel comfortable, and I would be remiss if I didn’t give her credit for keeping her ship afloat. .But tonight I came in after an especially rough day one of those really, really rough days. The kind of day that had me thinking that I just needed a quiet drink alone. Before I knew it, I was in a conversation with my bartender, Mike who I was meeting for the very first time someone that felt as though he had been a friend for years.There is a difference between good service and great service. There is a bigger difference between great service and plan changing service.From this night on, if Mike is behind the bar when I get off work, that’s now the plan.I can say, with total confidence, that if Mike is your bartender, you won’t go home feeling like you’ve had a bad day.Seventy seven out of seventy eight stars. One star lost because I’m saucy like that. Perfection is overrated 78 stars would be egregious.Highly recommend."
