"This restaurant lacks any sound-absorbing features, making it quite loud and challenging to hold a conversation even when it is only half full. On the night we visited, the service was quite distracted; our entrees arrived before the appetizer and had to be sent back. However, the portion of calamari we received was generous and delicious. There was a long wait for our entrees, as they needed to be remade, and it was clear the kitchen was busy. Our waiter was very apologetic but unfortunately did not offer any compensation on the bill. The entrees—gnocchi with sausage and strip steak served with potatoes and string beans—were plentiful and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Napoleon for dessert; it was surprisingly light and absolutely delightful. I had called in advance to confirm that the prix fixe menu would be available that evening, only to be told upon arrival that it was not being offered on Christmas Eve. Overall, it was a disappointing experience due to the inconsistent service and apologies."
