"The seating area downstairs is quite lovely, situated right next to the ocean, which allows for a nice stroll before or after your meal. However, the covered section can feel a bit crowded, and the service was inconsistent. We received some poor recommendations from the waiter as well. "My husband and I went to Nora's on recommendation from our friends for our anniversary. It was a true delight! The food Oh! was amazing. I had the Sabzi, so fresh! The hummus, a dream! The staff was just cool and comfortable. I had a cake brought there in advance to surprise my husband. The did so great with signals on when to bring it out, it was hilarious my husband had no idea. We will definitely be making Nora's a regular visit when we are in Dallas. I recommend it highly!"

"Omelet and BLT were ok. There was a large party seating as we got there and we asked to not be sat near them. So instead they crammed us behind a room divider next to the front door. So every time a server went outside to the front patio our whole table shook from the door slamming. Older male server (not ours) was practically yelling as he trained someone new at the computer behind us. We couldnt even hear each other talk when he was nearby. Food was fine but nothing to write home about. Will not be returning."

"I didn’t get the clear idea of Valentine’s Day celebration. Since I was able to make a table for reservations for I was assuming I was going to be a part of Valentines celebration not realizing the celebration was from only Allen was very apologetic and sat us at another section of the room. The food was delicious but it was a very small portion. We had to ask for the. Bread We were really hungry. We were very disappointed but party my fault. I had tried to clarify when I made the on line reservations but was unable to get anyone on the phone. I tried quite a few times. Allen was very gracious and gave us complimentary tickets to the movie. Ashley was absolutely wonderful. She just had a lot to handle from being bartender and waitress at the same time. Allen was also handling the people coming in plus helping organize the event. It seems they were basically the only actually working. They deserve a lot of credit"

"This was one of the worse experiences I've had and a complete rip off. The food was terrible. This was advertised as an easter brunch with bottomless mimosas and **** mary's and an egg hunt for the kids. When we arrived we were told that the drinks were not included at all and there was no egg hunt for the kids. We asked about the egg hunt multiple times and other than bringing out a bunny for all of 10 seconds the people working at this place, including the host, seemed to know nothing about the egg hunt. This was obviously extremely disappointing for our kids. Finally, we were charged twice, once when we booked the brunch and at brunch. When we pointed this out to the host he assured us that one of the charges will be reversed but it wasn't. Terrible place."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate on his own initiative. We will come back in any case."

"Such a potential gem that consistenyly falls short on food quality, presentation and value. Had taken a break from eating there after several mediocre meals and unfortunately will be choosing other places still in the future. Too bad since it is convenient, has great outdoor dining in the warmer months and is one of the few Italian options in the upper valley. Our service of the mediocre food was very good however! Hope they rethink their portions, prices and recipes!"

The place was not full on Saturday night, and i had an early reservation to make it easier for them, but several guests who came in after me were given menus, water and bread before me. Two of the dishes were superb 5 out of 5 for the asparagus feutille and the Grand Marnier souffle but my scallop main course $32) was overcooked with a blah sauce."

"The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!"

"Very cool spot. We went in August and there is no air conditioning inside. It was extremely hot, but we sat upstairs on the patio outside and it was a little better. Service was great. Loved the food, except for the salmon. It was cooked almost medium rare, which it how it was supposed to be, but just not used to that when ordering salmon. Would have preferred it well done. Was disappointed one of the cocktails we wanted was sold out, but the others we tried instead were great. It is very pricey, but overall worth it for a special occasion. Recommend reservations as they were extremely busy."

"The hostess told us and other tables we had 1.5 hours to leave and VACATE the table. Problem was it took 30 min to take our dinner order, then after appetizers came, the waiter told us it could be 20-30 min for dinner as kitchen was so backed up. Waiter was attentive but 30 min in between apps and dinner meant our table time ran out. The tables all around we discussed the issue and we all nervous we would be asked to leave while our dinners were cooking. I heard the hostess tell the table next to me the same thing. So rude. My dinner came out and was not fresh, yuck. The waiter got the manager to comp it. We explained we kept the food even though spoiled because of the time rush the hostess told us about. Waiter said he never heard of that and not to worry. Wish I knew that before we ordered, we rushed and choose fast items and in the end we didn’t have a good dinner experience. WHY would hostess tell everyone there was a time limit, and make us all tables feel rushed, then our waiter say not to worry it’s not true. Ugh valentines dinner was ruined for us because of how rushed and nervous we felt. Waiter and manager was very nice, but fishy rubber scallops and the hostess rushing all the tables made us feel we had to hurry. We should have left but choose this for our holiday dinner. I’ve not ever heard of this made up policy."

It's been about years and the old location that I visited last, but needless to say it has gone downhill. "Great restaurant! I can't say enough how good the Brothers Restaurant is. From the moment we sat down our party was treated like we were the only people in the restaurant on a Thursday evening brimming with happy customers. If you haven't dined here I urge you to go. The food is wonderful. I had a park chop on a bed of mashed potatoes and homemade apple sauce over the chop. The chop was grilled to perfection. A good inch thick chop that was a pure delight. It was a fantastic evening. Great and attentive service from start to finish. I lived in the bay area for many years and The Brothers Restaurant ranks up there with the best SF has to offer.
