"Last season we made it to The Pink Cow a couple of times for a nice ice cream jaunt out to scenic country Alden. I caught wind of The Pink Cow 's existence on Facebook, due to their 'Names of the Day ' giveaway. Our first trip was on 'Ava Day ', for our daughter to cash in on being named Ava with a free scoop! Follow The Pink Cow 's Facebook page to keep an eye out for your own name! The Pink Cow is a small ice cream stand that somehow manages to pack into it TONS of options, and more workers than it seems should fit in there, to make the abundance of choices! One side of the building is walk-up window ordering, with several outdoor tables. The other side is the drive-thru line, which stretches down across the plaza parking lot, as needed (the line can get long). Oh, and the building is hot pink. So you can 't miss it! One STELLAR feature of The Pink Cow is their wide range of vegan options! They have some vegan hard-scoop flavors in the hard-scoop lineup. But they also have vegan soft serve every day! There are also vegan milkshakes, vegan cookie ice cream sandwiches, and vegan milk bubble teas! It is rare that our vegan daughter has too many options to deal with at an ice cream stand, but The Pink Cow really gives her LOTS of vegan food for thought! :-D And of course The Pink Cow has all of the dairy choices you 'd expect to see at an ice cream stand, too. Hard scoop, soft serve, flavor-swirl soft serve, a litany of specialty sundaes, milkshakes, Blizzards (they call them Blender Benders), slushies, snow cones, and the new addition of bubble tea this year. Anything we have tried has been pretty good, with fairly reasonable prices, consistent with other ice cream stands of this nature. One other dietary restriction FYI, I did notice several menu mentions of gluten-free options, too. The whole menu on the building does a good job of listing allergen information on most things. So if you 're vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, soy-free, egg-free, sugar-free, fat-free or some combination thereof, they menu is marked to help you land on something that suits your needs. If you live near Alden, you already know about The Pink Cow. But if you 're Buffalo or Buffalo-burbs-area folks looking to take a little country ride that culminates with a fun ice cream (or non-dairy cream) experience, take a roll out to The Pink Cow. And enjoy! :-D"

"Stopped at Hinkley DQ after sundown. All outside lights were off but I saw a car in the drive thru so I stopped. Took about 15 minutes just to get to the window to order. They said it would be a little while. Another 5 minutes at the window until they finally took my order and there were two cars in front of me. There was a note outside saying the lobby is closed due to staff shortage. They finally took my order after the two cars in front of me got their orders and left. Once I placed my order it took another 5 minutes at the pickup window before anyone came to the window. They came with the food in the bag but haven't taken my pay yet. I was using the DQ app to get points for my order. The person at the window asked me what that was when I showed her my phone to scan. I told her it's for points and asked if they do that. There were signs outside advertising for it. She then said their scanner only works part of the time but she could enter my phone number. I told her not to worry about it. I paid finally then left. I only saw two people in there. Not sure if there was more or not. I understand if there are only two people to do everything. What I don't understand is why they were taking two orders at a time and waiting until those orders were completed and the people drove away before taking more orders. Not very efficient. The other thing that bothers me is the person that acted like they didn't know what the DQ app was and to scan points only to acknowledge it once I told her. I will not be stopping there unless I need to kill an hour or we are post apocalypse and there is nothing nearby for ten thousand miles."
