"Well. What a bad experience. To begin with, the food was bad. The Chaufa Rice I asked for it was like made with old oil, and the taste was disgusting. But what really caught my attention was 5he fact that even when I told our server about it, she didn't care. The manager never showed up to speak to us, and I did explain to the waitress that I wasn't looking for any type of discount because my only purpose was to give positive criticism to help in the process of improvement but they didn't care because that's the way some places are. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Not only are they not capable of providing proper customer service but also they don't care about what WE THE PEOPLE have to say."

"If you?re looking for a lowkey, relaxed, not so pricey yet tasty, quick date spot Dr Limón by FIU is the vibe! From the second you sit you are welcome with a Leche de Tigre shot, toasted corn kernels, and a sauce which was delicious! The servers are superfriendly and if you?re indecisive like me, they are so helpful with hooking you up with the best dishes. The food comes out fastwhich is quite nice, from the time I sat to the moment I was munching it was no more than 15 minutes. I ordered the ShrimpTruffle Roll (8.5/10 if you enjoy truffle this is a go to), a hidden menu special ceviche suggested by my server apparentlycalled Peru Campeón which is basically the Centro de Lima ceviche with Leche de Tigre instead of lime juice served is a cup(7/10), and the Lychee Flor de Jamaica cocktail (3/10). My server had recommended me the Marajito which apparently is the bestcocktail, I must say I fumbled the bag with this one. Looking forward to going back to try the Marajito for sure and otherdishes on the menu that looked delicious!"

"The food was disgusting, we returned 6 out of 7 appetizers that were served to us. The poor quality meat is poorly cooked and has a bad taste. They calculated every last cent of the bill. Shame should give them the lousy customer service and the lousy quality of the food with the years they have on the market !!!!! I will never return and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. "Great local Peruvian restaurant! They have a lot of authentic dishes as well as a mix of Peruvian fusion with some new flavors. We tried both and it exceeded our expectations. We greatly enjoyed the ambience inside as the restaurant was nicely put together and felt cozy. Perfect for a date night or evening out with family and friends. If you are looking for something new to try in Tampa, definitely check this place out!"

"I really enjoy this restaurant. The food is tasty, authentic, and offers a variety of flavors and choices. One small issue with the fried plantains, yuca, and sweet potatoes dish - it was served with a generous portion of sweet potato fries and fewer of the other items, which were cut into chunky shapes compared to the fries. It almost seemed like two separate dishes combined. It would have been more visually appealing to have equal amounts of all items, cut into similar shapes."

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"During our visit, we enjoyed fish ceviche, shrimp ceviche, and some of the best roasted pork rice we've had in the USA. Everything was of high quality and absolutely delicious. Despite being quite busy, the staff managed well, and there was a football match between Venezuela and Ecuador playing on the main screen, which added to the lively atmosphere. The score was 1-1 when we left. We also tried the Peace Yukka, which was fantastic, and the purple dip was particularly tasty. The green dip had a nice kick to it, while the yellow dip didn't quite suit our palate. Overall, everything was fresh and delightful. However, we had a disappointing experience with a recent food delivery. We ordered three beef saltados and a fish ceviche, but it took an hour to arrive, and when we finally opened it, the portions of beef saltado were very small. The ceviche also seemed old and dried out. When I returned to the restaurant to order the same for takeout, the manager/owner overheard and simply responded with a dismissive "oh." She did not apologize or offer any compensation, which left us feeling dissatisfied."

"Host/server was very friendly and very nice, considering the place was packed and she was the only one working the tables.I always get the Lomo Saltado but tonight I wanted to try something new... alas, they were out. I'll try again next time.Small place but great food. Empanada was flaky and spicy more like a croissant than pie crust. The Arroz con Pollo has a goodly amount of cilantro. The Pescado Al Ajo was not fishy or too garlicky. Kinda sweet and smooth garlic taste almost an Asian quality to it. Lomo Saltado is great as usual. You don't need the rice in this dish but it's a nice way to get all the gravy/broth.Parking is adequate. There is some outdoor dining area that takes up some of the parking spaces. The booth I was in had a bench with very torn vinyl that needs repair.TIP: 1) Saturday and Sunday they have a combo brunch for $11.99 (01/8/2022).2) M-F Lunch specials (vary) 10.99)3) There is a rewards program with 25 points on startup.Might be worth your first visit to try some Peruvian food."

"I'm not sure if this is a recurring event. But on Saturday we went, they had a party at 9:00. We went there for a reservation of 6:45. There were only 2-3 groups of diners, including us. They tested the music so loud for the later event. The promoter wanted to tell us about the 9:00 party. But this will happen in two hours when we were fed. We had to tell them to lower the music. What was still loud after lowering. And hard to talk. We couldn't go fast enough. The seats and the ambience were so different from the images on Opentable. Very misleading."

"Just a hidden gem man, BUT! I would like to start this review by commending and recognizing the manager, THOMAS, for his excellent service and attention to detail. He makes our experience AMAZING every time we visit. We have had parties of over 20 people to as little of just 2 of us, and the service has always been top notch. Now onto the food....it is just so delicious man. From the chicken to the maduros to the chicharron de pescado (fried fish)...it really never disappoints. I highly recommend La Chacra for all of your Peruvian food needs, and the drinks are just as great! My only reommendations would be a later and longer Happy Hour to better compete with those around, but nevertheless, you guys ROCK are still the best! Cheers! And continued success!"

"I’ve had pretty good ceviche here a few times years ago. Stopped in for lunch today and had the most acidic ceviche I’ve ever had in my life. It burned my mouth. The waitress never checked on me. I had to ask her to basically beg her to come check on my table. I told her what was going on and she told me that she would ask the cook to fix it. They sent the same ceviche back with more lime juice. She never even asked if it was fixed. I packed up what I could salvage, paid, and left. I would not bother going back when there are plenty of other places in Perth Amboy with better food and better service."

"For a $21 Lomo Saltado, I expected more.I got a take out for Lomo Saltado and I’m disappointed at what I got. First the portion for the fries and the rice were HUGE compared to a small container of meat you get. Before I could even finish half of rice and fries, the beef was gone. For the price of $21, you get a small piece of steak what it feels like about 4-5oz and a huge carbo-load of rice and fries. The green sauce has no taste and the spice isn’t just there. Different Peruvian spot at the Westfield mall down the street has a better taste at better price. (Disclosure : the photo is after we were done eating, which is mostly left of juice and the vegetables. The photo represents the size of the container, not the amount of food that was originally in the container."

"This was my first time at this restaurant and I was not impressed at all! The lomo-saltado meat was okay, but the rice was too salty. Despite many complaints about this issue, it seems like it hasn't been fixed. The yuca a la huancaina sauce was also not very tasty. If made to go, it should be served on the side to prevent it from cooking with the heat of the fried yuca. Additionally, our maraculla was overripe, so I asked my daughter to let the staff know. Unfortunately, when she did, they took it away for 10 minutes and never came back. I hope they take more pride in serving Peruvian food because it can be delicious when prepared properly."

"Update: Nothing has changed. ordered online, came to pick it up to order, and said that they did not start my order due to the online ordering company, not calling it. They also said that it is not their fault, although it is how you place an online order via their website. I'm not coming here anymore. Always. The first experience was amazing. We ordered the Jalea de Pescado y Mariscos and was delighted with an assortment of tastefully fried seafood. Her salsa criolla was a perfect topping as it was full of free taste. The service was slow, but attentive. I couldn't tell you what else we ordered, either because it was overshadowed by seafood or it was just forgotten. Our second visit was all about the service or lack there. We waited 15 minutes to sit in a rather empty facility while we noticed, but ignored. We waited 15 more ignorant minutes after sitting. We went after a new customer arrived, ordered drinks, received the drinks and placed their food orders. They were sitting right opposite us. The third visit, about a year or so later, still dream of this amazing Jalea de Pescado y Mariscos, was most likely our last visit. To avoid their terrible service, we have placed a takeout order online. Ordering online was quite simple, but the menu was missing pictures and/or enough descriptions. Upon arrival I was greeted with Dekain as if my presence was annoying and undesirable. I was screamed, not spoken. After they politely asked about my paid for the takeover order, they finished my stuff. Jalea de Pescado y Mariscos was abismal. Salsa de criolla's taste was exaggerated by lemon. The Pollo a la brasa was tasteless compared to the local competition. The Tallarines Verdes Con Milanesa tasted by shop bought Alfredo and Pesto. Come to your own risk. Good luck."
