"Whenever I asked Brittany for something, her responses seemed to suggest she wouldn’t mind if I complained. Eventually, I called the manager over to discuss my mom's dissatisfaction with her meal and the fact that I had to get the apple butter on my own. The manager offered to remake the meal, but my mom declined.
For my dinner, I had chicken dumplings, green beans, and roasted okra. It felt like the cook needs more training because all the food was served in one large bowl, causing my fried okra to sit in the juice from the beans. I had to slide it closer to my dumplings to stop it from getting soggy.
To add to the experience, our waitress didn’t offer any drink refills. My mom had to place her cup on the table as a hint before finally getting a refill after dinner. While the manager did offer us a complimentary piece of cake with ice cream for my mom’s birthday, I had to remind Brittany about it since she hadn’t mentioned it after I had told her about my mom’s birthday when we arrived at our table.
I even contacted the Corporate Office and received a ticket number (126146), indicating that the District Manager would be informed about our experience. Overall, this was the worst experience we’ve had at this Matthews, NC location!"
