"I have been going here for 30 years. The owner’s grandson son went to school with my son. I have used them for every single birthday party I’ve ever had. When I worked at Amgen, we would start talking about this place at 10 AM. It always used to be a yummy little local secret. you can’t get a good grinder, sub or whatever nickname you use for it…unless you go back east. This is family owned the most delicious fresh Italian, authentic deli. Back in the day, I remember the employees in my department forbid you to talk about it so that it wouldn’t be crowded at lunchtime."

"Same quality every trip. Love their entire menu. Notice star rating. Been enjoying Hobo for over 30+ yrs. The smell of fresh deli selection upon arrival Mmmmmm. They often mess up which drives me nuts bcuz u have to check ur food every visit. I order everything and they still leave items off. I mostly mostly hate when my nachos have soggy chips. In my eyes that is ruined. I'm not a dog that will eat anything that comes out of the garbage n has been sitting for days. Can't get this simple order right. Hobo Nacho supreme #3 with all! Pic is messed up. No s, no crunchy chips, no sour cream, no nacho cheese. All these ingredients should be layered!"

"I went to the MILAN location last night ordered $30 worth of food, two out of my three sandwiches we’re supposed to have everything including onions and peppers on them, which you have to pay extra for peppers. I get home (15 miles away by the way there’s nothing but meat and mayonnaise on my sandwich and there’s not even a lot of meat there’s like two slices of meat on each sandwich. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager and some little girl probably 18 or 19 answered and said she was the manager I asked her why the sandwiches had nothing on them but me and mayonnaise and she said she didn’t know and told me I could either drive back and get a refund which again would be 30 miles round-trip or she could gave me corporate’s number for a free item. I’ve called corporate twice and emailed them and still have no response from anybody. Not to mention this is not even the first time this is happened I’ve had to go through this whole spiel once before. I love their food but I honestly think it’s time to just continue going to Jimmy John’s where they know how to treat their customers and they get the food right every time."

"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! Their sandwiches, both warm and cold, are amazing, and I absolutely love their cheese fries. When I visited on Saturday, the owner was working on-site, and it was wonderful to observe the positive interactions he shared with both customers and staff. I really hope they consider opening a location in Iowa City/Coralville!"

"Fantastic restaurant! The food and drinks are delicious, and the customer service is top-notch. I visited for Sunday brunch on a busy day, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. Scott, the bartender, was particularly helpful and ensured we were well taken care of when our food took a bit longer than anticipated. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return on my next trip to Cambridge!"
