"I had never heard of ruth until my daughter bought a gift card for my wife and I bought. she sent a 150 card that deserts our meal and an additional to bring home. I was a bit skeptical when I discovered it was a chain restaurant, but was hopeful. all I can say is that I am glad I didn't have to pay for the meal. eating was at best mediocre. I had a ribey and kartoffel. the steak was cooked as ordered and was in order. I'm still not sure if they weren't ready. very inspiring meal. my wife had a filet and she likes her flesh well done, so it is not surprising that her steak was not very tender. but she had filets on other places that were amazing, also well cooked. I will not waste time on eating. ridicully overpriced. we ate in the bar because the dining room had only one server that was overwhelmed with some tables. that is, it turned out that it is a completely quiet environment for both of us with a eckish and only a few other people in the bar. and the barkeeper was on the point with service and very friendly. the young man who brought our food made me almost loud when he tried to find out how to pick up the hot plates from the servier floor with a cloth serviette. he looked like he never served. Maybe he didn't. all in all, 180 for two including tipp had scratched my head and asking why someone would go back there. remember, it was quite empty. I just thought it was because it was a Wednesday night, and it was a fairy tale."

"Delicious new menu, great drinks and excellent service in an iconic waterfront location. Perfect for couples, families and single diners. We were warmly greeted by Tricia and had our choice of outdoor dining overlooking Avalon harbor, or a comfortable booth inside. We chose inside because Antonio 's is filled with memorabilia from decades of Catalina history and it was a nice respite from the midday sun. Glad we did as our server was Katie (who is their bartender extrodinaire There 's a great selection of beer, wines and specialty cocktails. Katie recommended the champagne lemonade and it 's light and refreshing. We started our meal with Hamachos. Marinated Hamachi nachos. The chips, sesame aioli and kabayaki sauce are made in house. So unique and delicious! We followed that with a green salad with several types of lettuce and house made miso dressing. I 'd love to buy a bottle of that, please! Next we shared the breakaway wagyu beef sliders. Each ingredient shone and the burgers were quickly devoured. We finished our meal with a Snickers ice cream pie. We were very impressed by the staff teamwork and how quickly our food arrived, one dish after another. We 're already planning our next visit as we 've heard great things about the steak and brussel sprouts flatbread, the bison burgers and the Cabo mac n cheese! And, those champagne lemonades! Antonio 's setting is fun and casual, the menu is interesting and delicious with so many great dishes, and the service was great (thanks again Tricia and Katie! ."
