Reminder: Izakaya means a type of Japanese bar in which a variety of small, typically inexpensive, dishes and snacks are served to accompany the alcoholic drinks. When you step inside, you are booking a one way flight from USA to Okinawa, Japan! That is probably why you will feel out of place. Once you start to taste the drinks and food, you will slowly UNDERSTAND...PHENOMENAL FOOD AND DRINKS!My favorite bites:BEEF TONGUE, GYOZA PIZZA, PORK CURRY STIR FRY, SEARED SALTED PORK, and VANILLA ICE CREAM BAGUETTEMy favorite drinks: SAKE ORIONMy Experience:I didn't read into this place. Wish I had cause booking a reservation saves a lot of time. The guy (behind the bar greeted us and asked us if we had a reservation. We didn't so he told us to wait outside. We waited for 45 minutes. I didn't want to wait any longer so I convinced my bf that we should leave. As we slowly started to get into the car, the man who greeted us- ran out to tell us 5 more minutes, our seats will be ready and that the previous customers just need to get up and leave. Annoyed and frustrated, I got out of the car, walked to the front of the izakaya and waited a little bit longer. Got seated and was still pretty moody. When I finally took my first sip of SAKE, I WAS BLOWN AWAY! Lightly sweet, perfect! Paired it with the BEEF TONGUE and my mood completely changed. I let go of that negative energy and began to slowly accept and understand. Over all, RESPECT to NARU and especially his KAZOKU/team! WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATIVE FOR LETTING US COME IN AND ENJOY~: eats!"
