"I wanted Aliano 's to be great, since its in my hometown, but sadly, I can 't even say that its good. Four of us went on a Friday at 5:30 the only ones in the restaurant until two more tables were occupied at 6:00. That should have been a sign! (The bar seemed a little busier I tasted the lasagne, which had way too much ricotta and not enough sausage or meat. Also tried the chicken piccata, but the sauce was too gelatinous, like the chef got carried away with the cornstarch for thickening, and it was also too 'bright ' way too lemony, without any taste of white wine or butter. Finally, the spaghetti and meatball: (don 't know how anyone could screw that up! adequate. Nothing terrible, but nothing outstanding either. I 'm pretty sure the same sauce as the lasagne was used. The decor hasn 't changed since it was opened, pretty much the standard faux 'painted village ' look as every other Italian joint. The one high point was our waiter, Daryl, who was funny, gracious, and amazingly observant he made the dinner memorable for the RIGHT reasons! So, waiter= 5 stars (smiley face here . Restaurant= 2.3 stars (frowny face ."
