"The second thing we noticed was the lack of training and support for our waitress. The staff consisted of one bartender, our waitress, and a chef working that night. When we inquired about the beers on tap and whether they had any IPAs, she seemed unsure of not only the options but even what an IPA was. That said, she was very pleasant, but her outfit—glittering crop top, tight pants, and high heels—felt quite out of place for a waitress.
I ended up going to the bar to order another beer since it was too busy for her to notice my request. I ordered the Californian burger, which was cooked perfectly, and the fries were fresh and nicely salted. I could see the cook effortlessly tossing the fries in a bowl of salt as they came out of the fryer, though he did cough while preparing our food as he was working alone.
The avocado on the burger was fresh and perfectly ripe. I hope the cook is well compensated because he truly deserves it; times are tough for small businesses. Overall, the food was good, and our server was very nice. However, she definitely needs more training on the menu and drinks. Additionally, they should consider removing the overpowering air fresheners and addressing any odors they are trying to mask. With a few small adjustments, there’s a lot of potential here."
