"I was searching for a restaurant to celebrate a family event on a Monday night, and options were limited. A neighbor recommended Il Posto and spoke highly of the food. When we arrived, only one other table was occupied. Despite being a party of 6, we were given only 5 slices of bread. We requested more after ordering appetizers and our meals, but were told it was on its way. Some of the appetizers had sauces, so we asked for more bread to dip, but received 5 pieces of extremely hard bread. The main courses were delicious, except for a filet mignon that was undercooked despite ordering it medium rare. My grandson couldn't eat it and although we tried to get the server's attention, he only came over after everyone else had finished their meals. It seemed like he was more preoccupied with a game on his phone. I don't mind paying for good service, but the bill included a 15% 'service charge' gratuity. A gratuity should be a thank you for good service, but we received the bare minimum, which didn't warrant a thank you. When the restaurant is not busy (only 4 tables occupied), the servers should be more attentive."
