"We had to wait almost 2 hours. Most dishes were delicious. The prices were too high. There was a beautiful view of the sunset. This made for some beautiful photo possibilities. My only complaint was that the fried oysters bite. My wife has the feast of Peace Fisherman. It cost over $35 and had the amount of food a $20 dish would have in other places. My wife gets fried oysters in every fish restaurant we've ever been. They're their favorite. She knows how to cook and how to taste. They were seasoned, but not seasoned. They were so tiny that they could hardly taste the meat themselves. She usually tasted the crust. When she asked the waitress and later the manager about it, she was told that when cooking the oysters will shrink in size. We're from Louisiana, where seafood prevails. Oysters do not shrink when they are fried. The manager was friendly enough to get her even more oysters; That was nice of him."

"The experience was just average. The standout dish was the fried shrimp, which were tasty, but it's disappointing for a seafood restaurant when the highlight of the meal is a fried item like shrimp. The seafood chowder was quite good, and the mahi mahi tacos were decent as well. The blackened catfish was passable, but the rice and collard greens fell flat and lacked flavor. Similarly, the pecan-crusted mahi mahi was unremarkable. What was surprising were the high prices for such mediocre seafood. It felt like we were caught in a tourist trap, with dishes priced around $30 that simply didn’t justify it."

"I was in town for a memorial service and a friend suggested this restaurant. After trying the Louisiana crab cakes, my first words were "wow, this is amazing." I highly recommend trying the wings with "mamma" in front of them. The hot sauce wasn't too spicy, and the ranch dressing was homemade. The restaurant is in a fantastic location in the charming and bustling historic downtown area. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals, and the service was excellent."

"Although it’s been around for about a year now, the SERG group has taken over the former Boathouse, and like their other restaurants on the island, Skull Creek is sure to impress. The menu is extensive, reminiscent of the Cheesecake Factory's. There’s something for everyone in your group to enjoy. It’s a good idea to call ahead, as the wait time can be quite lengthy."

"The Gulfstream restaurant has always been one of our favorites for us to return to each year and to bring new friends. This year wasn’t as good as it has been in the past. The food like the spinach and coffee were on the cold side. The filet mignon medallions were very dry and overdone not like asked for as medium. I hate to complain about these kind of things because sending food back just doubles the timeframe of sitting there and waiting while everyone else is eating their meal. You’ve got to do better! "

"we went with friends from the city and arrived at 11:00 clock opening on Friday. the decor and atmosphere are beautiful and the waiter was really good. there was no lunch menu that was surprising and disappointing. the menu choices were also disappointing. the selection of seafood was all fried and baked. the salads were very good. since I couldn't find any entree or burger I liked, I ordered her foot-long hotdog with fries and cheese/onion/chili-toppings. when it came, the huge hot dog and the bungalow were buried in a terrible baptism of fries, cheese, chili and fenced wobbles. "Great food, friendly people, magnificent water views from the deck or your table if you are lucky. A few outside tables. Nice drinking list. Both my husband and I had seafood pasta dishes that were so full of good stuff, pasta was not needed (but still delish). About a kitty hawk kite shop, a little hard to find further, it is worth it."

"Ate here for the 1st time today and soooo glad we did. Thank you, Tara, for inviting us. We tried the catfish platter, blackened catfish meal, boudin balls, shrimp and grits, and the white chocolate bread pudding. Sounds like a lot, it was! Since we are from Houston, we wanted to try as much as we could. So we had lunch and dinner! Great place to eat, great chef, and look forward to our next eat here. I will put in an order to take home with me next time I come."
