"This was our first time visiting Mezzaluna and while we were excited at first, this soon changed to the opposite. I did appreciate that the business was thriving with plenty of tables taken at the time we were dining, but what truly fell short was the forgetful service. Mezzaluna surely didn’t have a shortage of staff but I do think the management could be better so the team can operate like a well-oiled machine. Three times into our dining experience the waiter forgot something. Technically it was every time we’ve requested for something something would be amiss. I’m aware they’re busy but it gets tiring trying to remind the waiter and these were simple requests like a wine, a spoon, etc. In addition, I was absolutely not a fan of the waiter and reservationist addressing one out of two in a party. They kept on addressing my partner. Mind you, I’m the one that paid for dinner in this case. Regardless, this is and women are equal and the restaurant should be reminded of that. I found it to be very rude addressing only one person in a party (what am I? A ghost and thank goodness they’re not striving for a Michelin star. Other than that, food was delicious and no complaints there whatsoever. Huge portions for sure. Would we consider coming back? Absolutely not. There’s a plethora of restaurants in the Hudson Valley and Mezzaluna won’t be missed for sure."

"Wow! My husband and I decided to take a trip to Elmwood Park and stroll through the neighborhood. We usually stop at Johnny's for a beef sandwich, but we opted to try this place instead after hearing from the cashier about their long history and how fantastic their pizza supposedly is. We were informed that we would have to wait 15 minutes for a fresh slice of cheese and sausage pizza, so we patiently waited. When my husband finally got the slice, it wasn't even warm! It was cold, old, and tasted like cardboard, with something that barely resembled cheese on top. It was so awful that we couldn't finish even one bite. The owners seem too stingy to replace a bad slice, not realizing that this will eventually catch up with them. The pizza here tastes terrible, and I can't understand how they've managed to stay in business for so long. If they continue down this path, they won't be around much longer. I'm so upset that I wish they would just close their doors. They keep their customers waiting for a fresh slice, only to serve up this old, cold mess. There were no apologies, no offers to replace what we paid for, just complete indifference. If you doubt my review, just look at the other comments and reviews from customers who have had similar experiences. One comment even corroborated my thoughts about the pizza being old. How can they justify serving such low-quality food? So, if you're thinking about dining at this restaurant, my advice is to run as fast as you can, like the last two monkeys trying to board Noah's Ark before the rain starts! It's a hard pass from me! You've been warned—enter at your own risk! I'll be disputing the charge with my bank because I refuse to pay for such terrible food!"

"Nardi 's is one of the better-reviewed restaurants in the area and I was eager to see why. When we arrived, we saw from the signage that Nardi 's used to be known as Frankie and Johnny 's. In fact, when the employees answered the phone, they said Frankie and Johnny 's ! When we drove in, we noticed that the parking lot was surprisingly large for a small town restaurant. As we walked in, there were two separate dining rooms. We were seated in the one further to the back. We were a bit early for dinner but as time went by, the restaurant became crowded with large groups coming in. We didn 't know what to expect but wanted a sampling of everything. We ordered the mussels and fried calamari appetizer, a garlic angel hair pasta and a linguini and clam sauce entrees. We were offered a free large loaf of Italian bread with plenty of butter. What came out of the kitchen was an astounding feast, capable of feeding 6 people. Our party was only 3 persons. Every single dish we ordered was served in family sized portions, and best yet, in individual entrée prices! The mussels came with a delicious marinara sauce. The calamari was not only rings, but the actual tentacles, which is very rare for any restaurant to serve. The pasta dishes were cooked well with heaps of garlic and clams. We really loved everything about the restaurant. The tables were roomy and we weren 't elbow to elbow with the other diners. If you have a large family or group of diners, this restaurant is for you. You get value for money, great food and good service. I would come here again, but next time with a big group!"

"a hidden shade. we stayed here today for lunch, on a laune, and I had spaghetti with garlic bread, and my wife had a boil salad. we were very satisfied with lunch, which means it was really good. the sauce was tasteful, and the noodles could be hand made for all I know. While we were at lunch, we noticed the sign that today's special was a great cheese pizza so that we decided to dinner, and we were glad that we did it.We ordered homemade bread sticks covered with cheese and garlic butter. that were good enough to make only one meal, and we only have a pure cheese pizza. even if it was just a simple cheese, it was still one of the best, at least one of the top pizzas in myrtle beach. it is surprising that it is not more business than it is, but that could be to it is from the beaten away location that works to her please, I mean, they go in and sit where they want. the staff was friendly both visit, and it is obvious that it is a family business. they are proud to eat and make sure they are happy. as always, which is the question, we would go back. unbelievable, we went twice a day. I would drive a few hundred miles from it because they know that I have already been driving for pizza. I would not say that I would make a special trip, but I would make sure that it was on my list of places to eat when I was in myrtle beach, and I would recommend that they also check it, as I make sure it is to their list of favorites."
