"Reservation for 12:15. Showed up early noting we were a table of 6 and wanted to sit inside. Staff indicated they could accommodate us. Then they proceeded to seat others and we had no table inside for us. So we sat outside (45 degree) yet they hassled us when we asked if the heater could be moved closer to our table. Went to speak to the manager who said no one told him that we wanted to eat inside. He seemed angry that he had to work on Xmas. Not customer centric place and be advised if you are a party >4 and you don’t want to sit outside no one there cares. One and done with this restaurant. PS: then they never registered with open table that we showed up."

"they look forward to eating here in (gary racks farm) and letting a little disappointed about eating. the apps (zucchini and flower cabbage) were both delicious, but all our other dishes were very blanching. the trout was so thin it was dry and mostly broth crumbs. carne taco was light in taste and meat. the steak was a little over boiled for medium rare and no seasoned (salt / pfeffer). kale salat was abundant. our waitress was great and the location is an ideal location in the inner city of delray (atlantic ave)."

"Highlights- ambience, service, fried chicken and biscuits, apple pie Cons- 1.When you are paying $15 for mashed potatoes, you expect that it has been properly whipped and not overly whipped to the point of being almost glue-like. I've had many types of mashed potatoes from all sorts of different establishments. There is a difference between properly whipped and overlywhipped. If it weren't for the exorbitant price tag, I would have overlooked the issue. 2. Kimchi hanger steak fried rice was fine, but certainly not worth $44."

"This is my third time here and my personal menu choices were spot on each time! The first time was the salmon and risotto. It was very good. The 2nd time Christmas Eve dinner, with my fiancé. I tired the salmon and salad combo with the grassroots salad and the smoked salmon.. it’s fascinating and delicious! My fiancé got the shrimp and Gita which was amazing too. We tried the bread pudding dessert and out delightful server brought us the butterscotch pecan pie to try. We ate both of them gone! Third time I went couple days after New Year to celebrate Christmas with my fiancé, daughter and her boyfriend. I was going to get something new but why when that salmon and salad combo is anything I could ever want and it did not disappoint! The smoked salmon is chilled which has this amazing flavors and the sauce that comes with it tops it off greats the grassroots salad is wonderful but make sure you like those ingredients because not many people like beets, I’ve found! My daughter had the shrimp and grits, again wonderful? Her boyfriend had the redfish which I didn’t taste but they said it was great. My fiancé tried the short ribs and we went impressed.. they were just ok and maybe a little dry.. the server was able to get something else and our evening was closed out with the bread pudding and butterscotch pecan pie disappearing yet again. The Macintosh is my new favor place for a nice dinner out!"

"This restaurant serves incredible fried chicken. If I were to visit a dedicated fried chicken spot and received what they offer, I would be thrilled. They should really call it Gene's Fried Chicken! Trust me, don't miss out on the fried chicken; it’s available only during lunch. You can get a 3-piece meal with a cookie for just $5.50—what a deal! I don't know who Gene is, but this place is a gem. They also have a standard deli and a variety of convenience store items. The staff is very friendly. Just a heads-up, there’s a small credit card fee. Seriously, make sure you try the fried chicken!"

"Welcome to the gates of Flavor Town and wow ! The staff is as amazing as the food. The manager Grant took the time to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Our waitress never let one person in my family have an empty glass. Our waitress also gave us all great details about certain dishes as requested. You can tell ownership to management to server take pride in EVERYTHING that is done. No corners cut from feeling invited just as you walk in to the level of safety you feel, to the dining experience and powerful flavors of the food put in front of you. My pictures dont do justice on how AMAZING everything was. Don’t just skip over the apps as the sticky wings were out of this world, and the Ruben bites were punch you in the face of flavor. You think it’s over……NO !!! The fries people ! My God were they outstanding with on point garlic and the aioli dipping sauce is a must! Cocktails were also full body and not oversaturated with booze. "By far the worst resteraunt iv been to in a while. I came here on a Wednesday night with my boyfriend. We were seated relatively quickly by the friendly hostess. We sat and waited for a good 5 minutes before our waitress Mallorie even came over to us to take our drink order. I saw here going around to other tables in our section who were seated after us and taking care of them first. After placing our drink order it took over 20 minutes to receive them. Our appiziter and my dinner were both cold. She hardly paid any attention to us and seemed more attentive to the older generation of customers. She had a very poor attitude and wasnt a very good waitress. I observed another gentlemen waiter working a different section of tables. He was very friendly and attentive to his customers and I wish I had seen his name to be able to give him credit. The restaurant was not very busy yet everything took a VERY long time to receive."

"Dope vibes, nice atmosphere mixed with an amazing waitress(mad I forgot her name) and the BEST BARTENDER IN DC (CEASAR) you can't go wrong. The food was amazing and I feel like we tried everything on the menu!!! My favorite was the crab cake OMG HEAVEN IN MY MOUTH!!!! Our waitress was super attentive and made sure we had everything that we needed mixed with her super sweet personality we were very thankful to have her. Make sure to pull up on CEASAR for the best drinks in town with great conversation, he kept our drinks flowing and gave some good tips on things to do while in town .Next time I'm in DC I'll be pulling back up at THE DELEGATE ?"

"I visited this restaurant for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The waitress and the entire staff were very friendly. At the end of my meal, the waitress brought me a takeout box without me even asking, which was a nice touch. For my starter, I ordered the fajita flatbread, and it was fantastic; I'd come back just for that. The combination of the tomatoes, spices, chicken, and freshly baked bread was spot on. For my main course, I had the fried flounder platter. I was expecting just a few small pieces for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised with a generous portion of fish. It was fried to perfection and not greasy at all, just the way it should be. I didn't have high expectations coming in, but I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a great place! "

"My family and I just left and we had a great experience here. I do want to mention that the hours on the door do not reflect actual working hours. I had no issues getting food but we arrived around 5:40 (after our movie) and I looked at the door and it said Monday Sunday operating hours. It was scheduled to close at 8pm. So my family and I went in since we were “early”. As we’re waiting for our food, they start to tell customers they are closed. I felt so bad. I honestly hate being that customer that shows up the last hour. I know better than to do this but the hours on the door said differently. I still feel bad because my family of 5 ordered their family meal deals. So a big order. Had I known they were going to be closing soon, I would have just left. They told assured us it was ok. They provided great customer service. Everyone was nice and the food prep was fast. The amazing thing about this is normally when things are made fast, there tends to be flaws. Like burnt food items or raw items. I am happy to say that everything was made to perfection. The chicken was great. The Philly cheesesteaks was good. The fries were my favorite, along with their little honey biscuits. They had great sauces to go with the tenders as well. The Mac and cheese was good but wasn’t my preferred item. I like my mac and cheese consistency to be thicker and cheesier. The mashed potatoes were great. Perfect consistency. All of our food was freshly made so it was hot. The way food should be. My son loved the food here, and was already asking to come back tomorrow. We will definitely be returning."

"The shrimp po-boy is very good! I was skeptical at first being that the place is on the side of a gas station in the middle of a town where the nearest McDonald's is 20 minutes away but, I stopped in because I was in a hurry and it didn't disappoint. Reasonable prices, good food, and I will continue to stop in if I'm traveling through the area. I gave it only four stars because last time I was in, I ordered 2 chicken strips and they were somewhat soggy and stringy. Aside from that I typically order a po-boy, and I've been impressed the several times I have."

"I've only tried the chicken and sides here. When cooked right, the chicken is delicious. However, the greens taste like tap water and vinegar, just as another reviewer mentioned—this is no exaggeration! The mac and cheese is disappointing and not worth it, but the chicken makes up for it. I haven't tried the pizza, though it seems to be quite popular. It also feels like they’re reluctant to give biscuits with meals—are they charging extra for them now? The store could definitely use a deep cleaning, and the atmosphere is often chaotic with people trying to cut in line. I found another gas station in a nicer area that serves the same chicken, so I plan to give that one a try."

"I'm not from the area... But this place is sketchy. I was craving a sub so I saw Jreck subs had a lot of location's so I figured I would try it... The store front did not scream, clean and well maintained but I was there so I figured I would try it. I ordered their basic sub meal which was a full size sub, a side, and a drink. The sub was ok the bun is thin so the sub look bigger than it is. The side I picked was pickle chips which were actually fried pickle wedges that were over cooked. Overall the quality of the meal was not great and I did not feel it was a good value but I'm not from the area."
