"To be honest, this place is way too pricey for what you get. I ordered the peach cake, and it was pretty disappointing. I felt bad that my family felt obligated to eat it since it was for my mom's birthday. My sister's boyfriend took one bite of his cake and threw it away. The cake was dry on the inside, and the overall flavor just wasn’t good. It felt like a waste of calories. I tried this restaurant because I wanted to explore something new, and a few friends had recommended it. In the future, I think I’ll stick to Paris Baguette—those cakes never let me down."

"My mother and I bought a cake and pastries from here. I am not from nj so anytime I visit my mother I am excited to come here. My mother asked if the cake was fresh due to getting a cake earlier in the month from here and it being dry. Miguel already seemed annoyed with her question so I wanted to leave not feeling very welcome there after she asked a simple question but she wanted to get me the cake anyways. It’s a shame that her wanting to ensure she has a fresh cake is annoying to the employees here. We were going to sit there and enjoy the pastries we got but I wanted to just leave after that. She asked if a knife and candles were included and Miguel said he put them in there, when she asked for 22 candles he just kept saying he can’t give 22 single candles and gave her plenty (10 candles) once again sounded annoyed and just repeated the same thing twice. I told her let’s go because I hate dealing with employees that aren’t friendly and he was not friendly from the start. It’s a shame that a $46 dollar cake can’t come with 22 cheap candles especially after we just spent $75. Everytime I have ever bought a cake I am always asked how many candles are needed, not just a random number thrown in the bag. We will not make the mistake in coming here again, I’ll stick with the bakery in little ferry, better products and customer service."

"Do you even know what cake means? The cakes here lack flavor. It’s just whipped cream and technique at all. The cakes in general here are less than the microwave mug cakes you can make for the steep price they charge. This cake in the photo is so tiny it’s a joke. And charging $8? Is this a joke to you? Please don’t do this. Charge people when you know to bake a cake. My friend got this cake by looking at the menu and it was directly packed in box. We were shocked after opening it. Even more so after tasting it. Half of the portion is again, guess what whipping cream.The people here are also extremely rude in general. Experienced it multiple times. Please learn how to treat customers with respect."

"My Vanilla Cream Donut was very good light and airy not too sweet. The Strawberry Cheese Spoonable Piece was ok, but I was very disappointed with the Strawberry Cloud Piece. It looks beautiful but mine has the texture of soggy angel food cake, not my favorite. I was exited to try the Taro Cream Bun but I guess they were out and substituted it for a piece of bread that had cream inside, texture was good (nice and fluffy), but it didnt have a whole lot of flavor. Overall the food quality and presentation seemed pretty nice, but I dont know if its worth the steep prices."

"The cakes here are very consistent. I always get comments about how good the cake was when I buy it for work gatherings. Some Asian bakeries in the area use fruit cocktail (that taste like it came from a can) and advertise that the cake has fruits inside. The cakes from this bakery has real fruits on top and inside of the cake. The cream is very soft, fluffy, and semi sweet. The cakes are not rich so you do not feel full after consuming one slice. As for their bakery items: The red bean bread is one of my favorites. The filling has pieces of red bean in it. This bakery is a little pricey compared to 85C, but I think consistency is what matters. You can expect the cake will taste good no matter which flavor of cake you get here."

"It's been too long since I last bought a cake at TLJ. That my stasis was broken by the earl grey latte cloud cake can only be considered a stroke of luck. There's something so addicting about the taste. At the first bite, I wondered whether I could finish my slice because it just felt like a lot of cream. Then the strong flavor of the earl grey hit and I immediately am looking forward to eating a second slice. This is the perfect cake for tea lovers or for those looking to impress (those cake layers make for an impressive cross section).I picked up a few pastries since I was here and got some old time favorites:Jumbo Twist Donut a classic. It is light, fluffy and covered in sugar.Kimchi Croquette fried goodness. Think kimchi dumpling in a deep fried ball form.Yuzu Pie buttery but refreshing. Sweet yuzu jam encased in a flaky shell and topped with crystallized sugar. Yum."
