"First allow me to say that the food here is absolutely excellent. This has been a gem to find to get good breakfast. However, the experience I had today was intolerable. I wanted to make a takeout order for my wife and I and first I tried to call, but the phone number doesn't work. So I went in person and arrived at 1:40. I made my order and it wasn't anything extreme, just liver and onions, with pancakes and coffee, that was it. I stand around waiting for 25 minutes and then the ticket is given back to me and I'm told that the kitchen can't make it, and that the absolute latest they can receive an order is at 1:30, a full half hour before closing time.If that was the case, then why couldn't they tell me at 1:40 that it was too late to take my order? Instead I'm standing around for 25 minutes and then leave empty handed. This is inexcusable."

"First time trying this place. Called in order at 610pm. Was told 20 minutes for pick up. Got order at 650pm. I was there at 630pm. I specifically asked for my burger to medium. Which should be really pink inside, as you can see it was well done. On menu it says Dubb C bbq sauce which indicates they make their own and was anxious to try. As I sat at bar waiting on order you can plainly see in kitchen all the big jugs of Sweet Baby Ray's different sauces. No seasoning on burger, salt and pepper. Tasted like cardboard. Not a $12 burger for sure, I can make a one better myself. The bacon was so overcooked it was burnt as you can see. Way over priced for the quality. It was not busy, I counted 12 customers in dining area. Very disappointed. I just worked a 14 hr day and was starving so no I was not going back. The fries were very good however. The staff was very friendly , actually there were more staff than customers. A medium burger only takes about 6 minutes to cook so why the long wait when there are more people working than customers? Just for the record, I only live 2 minutes from this place so it's not like I traveled a long way home. Expected much more for a $12 burger. Should have gone to Ruby Tuesday, I know you get what you order and the quality of meat is better."

"my party of 6 came to our time of 10:30 to our table not set or prepared. I asked the hostess several times if the remaining two tables could be placed on our table so that my party is not standing. after 15 minutes our table was not finished. I had to approach the gm so my guests didn't wait. not to mention a group of 6 came for the reservation after me and became in the main dining area (where their place) at a large round table (further to our very small and tightly sealed table near the doors, in winter when their is a brise in the restaurant from the terrace doors. we were waited by a terrible server who only checked our party 3 times total of the nearly 3 hours we were there. we had to sneak other server for our table for simple water. water. not only that, but we had to approach several server and the gm to get a status update on our eating that had been out for almost 2 hours to get out and was cold in it! the brass onion will never get our shielding again, our friends and family will also know about the terrible experience. - the cornbread was dry"

I can't say a Chinese buffet no matter where I am. hibachi wasn't too busy when I arrived at 12:15 and I sat on a clean table. my drink order was removed and it was time to dig in. it would have been great if they had one-way gloves on the buffet line, but I had planned and brought two of myself. I added to my teller huh and brokkoli, bark meat and paprika, double boiled pork, pork ribs in red sauce and the like. a few good choices and the buffet line was neat. most articles were well stored and refreshed during my time here. my waitress made clear dirty teller and refreshed my water without being asked. good service. as buffets go, this was better than most. "Price is $11,49 for lunch $14,79 for dinner. It's been here for years. Great choice, tasteful food, quick service. I miss the cold shells they had for lunch, but the old price of $6.25 or something. The price has risen several times this year, but everything is high due to the economy, so that it can play a role. But overall, tasteful food decent price. My favourites: Lunch: California Rolls (if you have them.., sauteed shrimps (next to fried rice, sauteed mushrooms, sauteed broccoli, Fried rice dinner: Butterfly shrimps Clams Best Time to Go Least Crowded Time: Right when they open at 11 a.m. every day of the week, the least crowded. After 12 a.m., it is more filled with lunch, then dies down. Most times on weekdays are usually not so crowded. Weekends are crazy crowded. Last time, on a Saturday night at 7:00, we couldn't even find an empty table for a few minutes. On weekends, it's a little less crowded than in the evening. This is a favorite buffet from me, I say the best Chinese buffet in Nashville. The price is fair, the taste of food is excellent. Updated on 14. June 2022"

"Full Disclosure: After spending 12 years in a city renowned for its BBQ, I proudly admit that I'm a BBQ snob. Smoke House consistently gets it right! Every single time! The brisket, whether you order it as a sandwich or on a plate, is incredibly tender and bursting with just the right amount of flavor. The sauce complements it beautifully but isn’t essential—now that's the mark of great BBQ! The smoked chicken wings have been spot-on every time I've had them; they're cooked to perfection. The chef recommended the jerk sauce, which has become my go-to, but I’m eager to try something else. Every side dish I've sampled has been outstanding! The coleslaw was exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and clearly homemade—I'm often picky about coleslaw, but this one won me over. The beans, which usually aren't my first choice, were surprisingly delicious—good beans really do make for great BBQ, and these were fantastic! Lastly, the collard greens and cornbread were also exceptional. I’m so grateful to have discovered Smoke House and can’t wait to continue savoring my way through their menu!"

"The overall experience was great. The quality of food and quantity of food was tremendous. The meats turkey, prime rib, pulled pork, and ribs were smoked perfectly. The sides were top of the line quality, high end and tasty. .mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese gourmet, a really delightful parfait bar with juicy sweet raspberries,blueberries, bananas, strawberries and homeade granola. The dinner rolls were tasty and fresh. The hot foods were hot. The cold foods cold just the way we love our foods) Also, they have blackberry ice tea and lemonades with various fruit blends. The dining experience was awesome. The building is so unique... comfortable and clean. The wait staff is friendly, kind, attentive and helpful. The owner came to our table he was friendly and told his story. Great experience....and will visit again"

"Texas BBQ in Portland has its hit and misses. I think in large, one needs to have a background from there or to have spent time there. You can't do Texas BBQ without knowing the roots of it and how to do it right. The owner here has both. Granted she moved away very young, she ended up back there and Portland should be happy that she ultimately ended up here. With what I had, I have to imagine everything else that is mesquite smoked is most likely pretty damn good. I enjoyed some pulled pork and got a simple slaw with it plus some rather cheesy mac cheese. There were also the options of beans, collards and potato salad. The pulled pork was tender and smoky with little bits of crunch here and there which was a nice change in texture. The hot BBQ sauce is where it is at. It had a really great kick to it. I liked that. All the four and five star reviews here should really be all that you need to know. Peeps like this spot at Carts on Foster. I'll admit that I don't get down here as often as I should. Year of the Fish, Mumbo Gumbo, and Italian cart (with great cannolis), Mexican, latkes, beer and vegan options are all available to try out. Make your way to south east and Foster Powell. Enjoy and support local."

"I was looking forward to trying this restaurant since they advertised an opening time of 11:00 AM on Saturday. However, after waiting for 25 minutes past that time, I was still left outside. I was on my break from work, and there were several people waiting with me, some of whom left around 11:25 AM. The frustrating part is that after all that waiting, we were finally informed that they weren't serving breakfast. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. "I ordered takeout: the Luau Pizza (without red peppers) and their hush puppies with pimento cheese. The girl who took my order mentioned that those were her favorite items on the menu, so my hopes were high. When I got back to my RV and opened the pizza, I was disappointed. It didn't look appealing, and when I took a bite, there was no hint of coconut flavor. The hush puppies were ice cold! I contemplated going back to let them know, but I figured I would have to heat them up anyway at my RV park, so I thought it wasn’t worth it. I'm sure they would have been delicious if they were hot and crispy. I didn't voice my concerns about the pizza at that moment either—it was edible, just not what I'd hoped for. On a positive note, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff was friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I would consider returning to try their pulled pork or other BBQ dishes, and I would opt to dine in rather than get takeout."

"I expected much more from my initial read of the reviews. We got the brisket sandwich, smoked chicken sandwich, BBQ beans, and corn salsa. Unfortunately, we did not like any of it. The briskets was sliced too thin and dried out a little. The chicken was also dry and didn't taste fresh. The lettuce on both sandwiches wasn't fresh either. The BBQ beans were mostly a thick sauce that was too sweet, very little beans to be found."

"I had a fantastic experience at this barbecue joint! The pastrami was incredibly delicious, served on a high-quality roll with a zesty spread. The brisket paired with onion jam was equally tasty, and the beef ribs were a standout. Both the brisket and ribs featured a distinctive and flavorful coffee rub that added to their appeal. However, I found the coleslaw a bit lackluster compared to the mouthwatering meats, and the fries could have used some seasoning. I would love to see the option to order the brisket and pastrami as a plate instead of just in sandwich form. If they could enhance their side dishes and improve their social media presence, this place could truly shine!"

"Chicken Wings were decent, but small. Side of Macaroni and Cheese was somewhat dry and scorched in places. Collard Greens couldve been cooked longer. Cornbread was tasty, but lacked moisture. Bar B Que Extra Mild Jerk BBQ Sauce was good. Food is overpriced for quantity served."
