In 1996, the resort was designated a historical landmark of the city.
The layout of the resort features five buildings arranged around a central courtyard, resembling a wheel. The lobby serves as a social hub, complete with meeting rooms, a restaurant, and the Flamingo Room Lounge, which offers live music and dancing on weekends. I had the pleasure of staying here during the summer, when the lovely weather drew many cheerful guests to the pool. Beyond racquetball and basketball courts, the hotel boasts a comprehensive spa, various classes, and childcare options, all within easy reach of the Montecito Heights Health Club and Spa, which is also open to the public."
