"Service is amazing and their food is great! I heard about this place through a friend and decided to give it a go since I needed a katsu fix and it’s hard finding a place in Brooklyn that makes good katsu. To my surprise it was actually pretty good. There was a decent amount of meat (not too thin like other restaurants) and layer of breading. Although I found it to be quite dry alone, they provide sauce for you to dip in. The sauce tasted like ketchup? I’m not a huge fan of the sauce and I would prefer if they offered other options with their katsu like curry but it satisfied me till my next trip ??"

"Had I known I would've chosen another restaurant... what the F¿ did I just attempt to eat? I did not open the reviews prior to going in and ordering... I just seen the star rating and decided to give them a try. Well first it's overpriced... gummy rice and old soy sauce that taste like hand sanitizer or something is mixed in it State Health Dept Please). "Nice little bistro. Ever since Blue Fish closed, we were on the lookout for great sashimi and sushi in the woodlands.We happened upon this place this weekend.Sashimi is my bellwether to a good sushi restaurant. The fish quality in sashimi speaks for itself with no sauces and other fillings to embellish it. The salmon sashimi here was excellent as good as Blue Fish.The “sexy lady roll” with tuna, yellowtail, spicy tuna and other stuff was excellent too. The lobster roll was ok. A constructive criticism, the tempura batter was a bit too thick and when fried was a bit too overpowering compared to other places.My rating is based on the sashimi.Other pluses are that the prices are great for the quality of fish, service was decent too.Recommended."

"I stooped by here on a Wednesday night as this place used to be very popular years ago. Upon entering you get a fishy smell which I already did not like. I know this place serves sushi but the odor of fish is not really a good sign.We sat down and someone came to take my order after 5 min which was pretty decent. I got the chicken katsu with their soup, the fried dumpling appetizer and a combo fried rice. the food took some time to come out but it wasn't such a long time. upon receiving it I was disappointed with the taste of the food. the fried dumplings were the best out of everything ordered and the food was edible but the taste felt different than what I am used to at other locations. the chicken katsu was missing flavor in the crust/batter so it tasted a bit bland to me. the combo fried rice had an odd taste that I only enjoyed the shrimp on it and not the pork or chicken mixed into it."

"Quite possibly the worst Asian food I have ever had. The edamame was soggy and over boiled. The noodles were over cooked and too greasy. The beef and broccoli tasted horrendous there was no taste of classic Asian beef and broccoli instead it had tasted like it had just been sat in a slow cooker all day with no seasoning or sauce. The sushi was not good it tasted old lacked flavor and was the first sushi to ever give us acid reflux. Food was bad service was good staff seemed friendly. Also we ordered this food for pick up as we were passing through so I can’t judge the service if you were to dine in."

"I traveled out to Brooklyn just to try this Chinese restaurant, and let me tell you, it was worth the trip! I ordered the fried chicken and vegetable fried rice, which were both delicious. The next day, when I finished the leftovers, I was amazed by how fresh the food still tasted. The rice was not soggy, the veggies were still crisp, and everything was incredibly flavorful. I will definitely be coming back here again!"

"Wifey and our daughter-in-law and I paid a visit to our nearest Akashi. Daughter-in-law enjoyed a bento box with Kung Pao chicken, no rice, miso soup, a California roll and Asian salad, she loved it. My wife got a bento box with some of the best tempura shrimp she's ever had, I concurred while eating a couple of her shrimp. She had Asian salad, no rice and a California roll too. I went with General Tso's chicken, the chicken was a little chewier than I like and not as warm temperature wise and spice level... as I like..... making my dish only 3 stars. the broccoli, rice and egg roll were better than 3. My wonton soup was a four, the noodles were firm but the broth could use more flavor. The service provided by Chris was stellar. I'd come back for the tempura shrimp."

"I never wrote any unpleasant reviews about any business, I always try to find understandable situations for the owners or service persons. This time I feel I have the obligation to share my bad experiences in order to help the majority be healthy! I have been to this restaurant 3 times, last night the foot really made me feel sick for a long time. I ordered Red Phoenix Imperial Jumbo shrimp, scallops and chicken tender sauteed with snow peas, mushroom, carrots and broccoli in soy-ginger sauce. At The beginning of eating, I noticed it wasn 't cooked well, and asked the manager, she explained that it was normal. I felt I should not bother them and kept eating half of it, on the way home I felt something wrong with my stomach, I had to rest myself on the coach after I got home, middle of night I threw up and had a bad headache too. 2 am now, my stomach tells me I need to write about my bad experiences in order to prevent others from suffering unknowingly, Seafood didn 't cook well, which wasn 't healthy for anyone. Especially they didn 't add real ginger or garlic, or onion or green onion. This restaurant didn 't cook real Chinese food. Because the lady said they have been there over 17 years? They trained those Chef Over 17 years? She said the Chinese chef didn 't like to cook there? Why? They use Chinese Food names as Chinese Restaurant, Hire unqualified or cheaper Chef to Cook faked Chinese food to fool the majority of Americans ! I 'm not a chef, but I always use Ginger or Garlic, or green onion if I cook Seafood, in order to prevent the stomach from getting sick. But last night My Seafood combination there didn 't use any of those spices for health issues or for tasty , especially because they didn 't cook well. I really Hope the Owner Can Teach Chef there to use Ginger or Garlic, or onion for their Seafood in order to prevent their customers from getting stomach sick slowly in case it doesn 't cook well or Seafood isn 't fresh.."

"Lady at the front was EXTREMELY rude and pushy! The menu on Christmas was cash only but we didn’t know until we went inside. They claim that their computer is down. But we said we didn’t have enough cash. They said we can use a card and the card system worked just fine and wasn’t down like they claimed. They just wanted to pocket the cash and get you out as fast as possible. We had to keep asking for more cups and stuff like that. Way too small for all these people. Menu says no sharing than says 12 dollars to share. Than say 13 and under CAN share but they still charge them to share. Dessert was just canned pineapple in small plastic cups.Update: sitting people at dirty tables. Shoving people’s food before they are done with the spring roll and soup. Customers having to clear the table they are seated at. Wait to crowed for this small space. Table isn’t cleared from soup dishes before the main dishes come out. You only get water. Nothing else.Update: the food is tasteless. The only good thing was the tea. The menu stated egg roll but you get a spring roll. They keep seating people without wiping the table down. Food. was not hot. They also was rushing us to finish to turn over the table for more people. Seemed like they pre-cooked everything with how fast the main dishes was coming out right after the soup. The meat in the beef and broccoli tasted like frozen old meat. The broccoli was ok. But again tastelessOverall. This place is not good. Will not be back. Would not recommend. I’m Jewish so I did what a lot of Jews do. Eat Chinese on Christmas!! Save your money go to P.F. Chang’s or Panda Express"

"Walked off of the train in this neighborhood and directly across the street I saw several indian restaurants! After my a while without it, I wandered around and saw a buffet (weekends only) for 13$ and had to try it. A bit expensive for the selection they had, but I've never tried Indian in NYC so I dove right in. Samosas were huge, and they only had 4 sauces on the buffet. They had an egg fried rice which was alright, and the mixed veggies were lightly spiced and perfectly soft and cooked up with flavors. My favorite of the day was the methi chicken wow! Boneless, curriful and awesome on the rice, with the naan, and by itself! Tender and amazing. The goat was a great flavor too, but barely any meat on the pieces, so mostly bones. It came with naan which was nice! But obviously not fresh, but at least it was warm. Dessert option was gulab j's, which were tasty as always, like little honey soaked pancake balls. For the price, would expect more side options, but overall, okay for a quick lunch to try a few things. For regular menu, Id get the methi chicken 100%! Also really liked the cups and mini bowls for dessert"

"We wanted to try Zov's Bistro and found this restaurant next to it and packed of people. I smelled all the delicious food and was surprised that yelp never recommended this restaurant in Tustin. We ended up changing our mind to give it a try since I have never tried Malaysia cuisine and love trying something new. We ordered calamari, crab rangoon, and a cup of hot and sour soup as appetizers. It was the best fried calamari we ever had, super flavorful and crispy good quality calamari. It was not over breaded or double fried like a lot of fried calamari from other restaurants. Also the best fresh hot and sour soup I have ever had, the peppers the egg and the vinegar just exactly the right portion. The rangoons were basic with fake crab, but a good portion at a great price. For entrees, we ordered Beef Rendang and the seafood clay pot curry with coconut rice chiken rice. You can choose normal steam rice, brown rice, coconut rice and chicken rice. OMG, the coconut rice is like a dessert, smell delicious and it is such a great taste. Seafood clay pot is sooooooo good with fish, scallop, tofu, bunch of veggies and eggplant all in a spicy and savory broth. The beef rendang is soft, flavorful, and great quality. The curry spices used perfectly complimented the meat without overpowering it. It you want to try extremely good Malaysia food!! Definitely give this place a try."

"I have to respectfully disagree with my Yelp friend Edward's review of Lotus Garden. My family and I dined here tonight to celebrate the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival, and overall, we were pleased with our experience. With the exception of one dish (soy sauce poached chicken), we stuck to items on the menu. Each dish had both Chinese and English translations, except for dessert, which was only listed in English (assuming we Americans know how to indulge). The standout dish of the evening was the spicy black pepper steak, with its rich stir-fried black pepper flavor and hints of doubanjang and onions. The beef with broccoli was a typical Chinese-American dish, fresh and tasty but slightly too sweet. The soy sauce and rose wine poached chicken was tender and delicious, despite not being on the menu - a common dish in various Chinese regional cuisines. The fried chicken appetizer was a disappointment, dry and bland, but the Taiwanese pork chops were a hit, packed with Taiwanese-style BBQ flavors. The restaurant seems to have a Taiwanese influence, though they also offer Cantonese dishes. We had plenty of leftovers and the bill came out to $30 per person, a decent value."

"I've eaten here before during the day and food was good. However, I went for brunch on a Sunday for Operation Pumpkin fest and I have to say, the food was not good. Especially paying $28 for the buffet and then ordering a drink tip; you are talking close to $50 for brunch. The eggs were the worst I have ever eaten. I do not believe they were real eggs. The pumpkin muffins were dry and pretty uneventful. The cinnamon butter tasted like lard with cinnamon. The bread pudding was good. The General Tso's and orange chicken were ok which you'd expect from a Thai restaurant. My **** Mary was too spicy that I couldn't even drink it all. We had to ask for them to bring coffee cups out as they didn't even have them out; so we weren't even sure they were offering coffee. Overall, we all (4 of us) were very unimpressed with the food and for that kind of money there should have been more options. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and prompt and gave good service; however, I definitely will not be doing the brunch there again."

"We ate lunch. Had the lunch specials, the subgum chow mein was mostly celery. Disappointing as it had good flavor, but it was lacking the mix of veggies one would expect. The sweet and sour chicken had good flavor and was tender, the breading wasn't the tempura you would typically expect but it was good. The fried rice I felt lacked flavor and was pretty sticky. The BBQ pork was very good as we're the fried shrimp. Overall it was a decent meal. Might give it another try and try some other menu items"

"My family and I visited this restaurant and were completely neglected by the waitstaff for 30 minutes straight. Despite trying to get their attention and politely request to place our order, we were continuously ignored. I would advise avoiding the tall waiter as he was incredibly disrespectful, prompting us to ultimately leave. "Went there for dinner. Had to wait at front till someone came to show us to a table. Staff was friendly and the menu is extensive. We ordered Mandarin duck and Cantonese duck. Told it would be 25 minute wait on duck entree, that's fine. We had appetizers and drinks while we waited. When food was ready, it was the wrong dish, not Mandarin duck, but duck with mushrooms. That dish was more expensive than what I had ordered. They knew it was wrong item and still served it, we had to tell them it was wrong and they blame it on their cook. We were told it would be another 25 minutes to cook correct dish. We said we're not waiting another half hour for them to cook the correct dish. We ate some of the mushroom dish and it was very sweet and too much sauce drowning duck meat. So I only ate small portion of it and most of rice instead. Very disappointing and Cantonese duck claimed to come with rice pancakes. They were rice tortillas?! Complained to management and were still charged for more expensive wrong dish. We got our lemonades free, big deal! Never going back there."
