"First and foremost if you go request Glenn as your waiter. He was exceptional, we all agreed that he was one of the best waiters we have had in the city, and we’ve all had a lot in New Orleans. Our meal was very good. As an appetizer we shared the fried oysters which were agreed by the table to be the best item we had on the table. After that two of the four of us had soup, I had the Corn and Crab soup and the other person had the Gumbo YaYa. He said it was the second best thing we had. For entrees our table had the grilled fish, the shrimp and grits, and two of us had the pork chop. In the words of one of the people at the table, “Those were like my grandma’s grits”. The pork chop was very good, the flavoring was fantastic but the two of us that had it agreed it could have been cooked slightly less but still very good. The creole meuniere sauce served with the grilled fish was exceptional. For desert we had 2 pecan pies and a Lemon Ice Box pie and they were both very good. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"First time in New Orleans for a quick work trip, and I knew I wanted delicious food while staying downtown. Mr. Ed’s had phenomenal reviews and menu had oysters, while being within walking distance to my hotel. Had phenomenal service with the bartender, Michael, and met Chad who was absolutely killing it shucking oysters. I ordered half dozen raw, half dozen charbroiled, and a cup of the Creole Gumbo. The raw were giant and absolutely the best I’ve ever had in their purest form. Charbroiled were also amazing, and while I was full, I had to try the gumbo and it was worth it. Highly recommend trying Mr. Ed’s. And I’ll certainly be back next time I’m in town. Thank you!"

"I was really disappointed in our experience at Mr. B’s. It was recommended to us by a friend. We had a large group and had been out doing tours earlier that day. It was a hot day and one in our group had a tank top on. We split up and half of us went to get the table while the other half was still on their way.
