"My family and I dined at this restaurant for the first time last night to celebrate our anniversary with our children. We had made a reservation and requested a table by the window with a view, which was absolutely stunning. It took a little longer for us to get to our table as my husband is currently on crutches, but the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Our waitress was amazing - she was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious, although the filet mignon was cooked a bit more than we would have preferred. Next time, we will request for it to not be cut open. The sirloin was excellent and the lobster was heavenly. The dessert was a highlight, as our waitress kindly provided us with sharing spoons so we could taste all three options we ordered. While the restaurant may be on the pricey side, it is definitely worth it for a special occasion."

"Still some of the best pizza around. Such a shame what 's happening to this mall and all malls for that matter. I 'm sure Cafe Riviera is a victim of that. We were waited on immediately we just walked up to the counter and there was basically nobody else in the mall anyway. The mall is just horrible. Just a bunch of garbage stores like you see in a bad neighborhood like 69th St Upper Darby. We specifically went into the mall to go to Cafe Riviera. We each ordered a slice somehow the kid behind the counter got my fiance 's slice wrong when he brought it out of the oven, but we had waited long enough, he was like I 'll just take it. We sat at the table in the mall and ate then walked the mall. Yikes. I 'm pretty sure the days are numbered for Concord Mall which is so sad. I hope Cafe Riviera can find some place to go that allows them to continue to do business."

"It took a while for the waiter to come and take our order. My husband started with French onion soup and it was not great. Then he ordered the filet mignon medium rare and it came out medium to well. I ordered a bread basket and the menu shows $3.50 but when we got our bill it showed $4.00. I know it’s only cents difference but menu and check should match. I was expecting French baguettes and there were only 2 French baguettes and other bread which was mediocre. I ordered the lamb medium rare and it came out well done. There’s nothing worse than getting a well done dish when you ordered medium rare. We didn’t send it back since it took too long and we were very hungry. They tried to make things right by offering us free dessert but even the chocolate mousse was not good. We often rate restaurants we go to if it’s a “comeback”. This is definitely not a comeback specially we spent more than $200."

"It was our first visit as well as our 30th wedding anniversary. The hostess was very nice providing different seating options since there were a couple of large parties;however, the server was out to lunch. She messed up our drink order and completely forgot our appetizers. According to our server she had worked at the establishment for 23 years (or maybe 30 she stated both)and was just notified the restaurant was closing. We were lucky enough to pick the very night they were closing for 2 months to restructure! (And they had already informed the servers that they may not get called back) I guess this explains why she was so rattled and the restaurant was out of many selections. It was definitely a memorable anniversary dinner but not for the right reasons."

"The food was outstanding. We started with fresh home salads and enjoyed some delicious bread afterward. My wife ordered the fillet, and I had the flat iron steak, both cooked to perfection as we requested. Our server was delightful—friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We dined in the outdoor courtyard, and despite the unassuming exterior, we had a fantastic evening. We'll definitely be returning."

"Went out for our usual Saturday night dinner after 5:00 mass My father and I.. I decided to indulge his favorite Gulf Shores. As we were sitting waiting Dad pointed to someone and said that's the owner. I said nooo no way he'd be here on a Saturday night... Anyway when we were seated I noticed the same gentleman walking around from table to table and conversing with the customers and laughing and talking just generally having fun and so I asked our server Erin she said sure enough that was the owner. I had to tap him as he walked by and tell him how much we enjoyed his restaurant.. What an absolute pleasure. It's rare these days to see the owner taking part in the actual business much less enjoying themselves with their customers.. Clearly evident that he Truly enjoys watching people enjoying his creations and what Wonderful Creations they are.. He said we had to try something special I said we'd be honored so he had the server bring some of the blackened salmon chowder..OMG That's a showstopper!! Then again that's nothing new Everything we've ever had here has been top shelf Fantastic from the jambalaya to the gumbo as close to Big easy as you're going to get and honestly and welcoming and happy as everyone is that works there; You'd swear you were there on Bourbon Street. Made a point to sit and chew the fat with us for a while even though he was extremely busy, Thanked my father for his service. When you want it take your people out for something good here you have it.. Thanks again God bless you and your Mother for the wonderful recipes that she's provided for all of us thanks again Mr P. "After being loyal customers for ten years, our most recent visit to Benjamin's was truly disappointing. Prices have soared, and what used to be a reasonably priced meal now feels like an extravagant expense for two adults. To make matters worse, they've started charging extra for pasta with the chicken Parmesan—something we'd never experienced in all our years of dining there. While the food quality is still decent, the overall value has significantly diminished (in fact, it's incredibly disappointing). It's disheartening to say that after a decade of loyalty, we won't be eager to return anytime soon. The charm that drew us back has faded, leaving us feeling let down and hesitant to spend our hard-earned money on what now seems like an overpriced meal. We can only hope they make some changes, allowing us the chance to revisit in a few years."
