"This review is for the pizza itself. I ordered carry-out and have no thoughts on the service. This pizza has to be the most overrated pizza I’ve had in my life. Given the high reviews, I’m extremely disappointed. I’m coming from Milwaukee, where I had 5 times the pizza options available to me in half the distance and 4/5 of the price. With Glass Nickel’s status and price, I was expecting the best pizza I’d had in my life. Instead, it’s mediocre at best. The crust was overpowering. 60% of the flavor came from the crust. I got regular crust, as that’s what I normally order. I would highly recommend only ordering thin crust from Glass Nickel. They don’t put enough sauce or toppings on the pizza to make regular crust a good crust experience. I didn’t expect to be chewing through a wall of crust for a smidgeon of flavor. They say “100% Wisconsin Cheese” like that’s something special. You think that isn’t true of every pizza joint, even the chains? Meanwhile, in my opinion, it is some of the least flavorful cheese of all of the pizza places. I would expect at least 30% more sauce and cheese than I received. I’m not trolling when I say, in my opinion, Glass Nickel is the 2nd-worst pizza in town. Only better than Little Ceasar’s. Stunningly, worse than Papa John’s. I recommend all Glass Nickel staff try a Papa John’s cheese, compared to a Glass Nickel cheese. Try an $11 Costco cheese. Glass Nickel is worse. I guess, it didn’t instantly give me acid reflux, like Little Ceasars, but beyond that, I’ve never been more disappointed with a pizza."

"Overall, this restaurant has potential. I ordered a calzone for takeout and found it to be very flavorful. If my review were based solely on the food, I would give it four stars. However, service is also a crucial factor, which is why I can't fully recommend this place. Here's my experience: I placed a takeout order and noticed they had two locations listed—one at 377 Broadway and the other at 100 Broadway. I chose the closer location at 377. Upon arrival, I was puzzled because the name on the building didn't match what I expected. After ten minutes of wandering around looking for the restaurant, I decided to drive to the second address, which turned out to be the correct one. When I arrived there, I tried to explain to what I believe was the owner that their online information was incorrect (I work in communications, so this is something I take seriously). It seemed that many people, myself included, were being directed to the wrong address. However, the owner insisted that it wasn’t an issue since the 377 location was an old one. He even printed out a receipt showing the old address as if that proved his point. I struggled to convey that having the wrong address online was causing confusion and frustration for customers, including myself, and it led to a lengthy argument about the issue. Unfortunately, he seemed unable to understand how critical this problem was. As I mentioned, the food is promising, and I'm willing to give them another opportunity. However, I sincerely hope he reads this review and understands my concerns. If he doesn't address this issue, he risks losing customers who may not be as forgiving as I am."
