"Great Down Home Comfort Food . We have been to this little gem several times; for both lunch and breakfast and I can honestly say it has been very good in both aspects . The service has always been more than accomodating, the atmosphere down homey, and it 's clean. Never have we walked in and had to ask for a table to be cleaned or have to choose to sit where we do not wish to go because of filthy tables I can not say that for other establishments . Just this morning we were there for breakfast and honestly, there was so much food I couldn 't finish it all. I asked for 1 egg scrambled it seemed more like 2 , hash browns, nicely seasoned and browned JUST RIGHT and not greasy , rye toast nicely buttered and NOT cold on arrival , bacon nicely done, not greasy and not cooked to death so it snaps all over and hot , coffee not too weak with some body to it and a large OJ nice and cold! . All yummy and satisfying..... My hubby had a western omelet which he said was one of the best he 's had... fluffy with lots of veggies, ham, lots of cheese and done just right, hash browns, rye toast and an iced tea. My coffee cup was never left empty and neither was his tea glass. This all came to a more than reasonable 14.00 incl tax. Lunch we have had in the past has been just as good. I 've had the tuna sandwich which I have to say I would get again I normally don 't eat tuna in restaurants and their turkey sandwich which was also delicious. The service was friendly as usual this morning. It wasn 't busy on our arrival; there were 3 tables in the midst of finishing when we arrived, 1 gentleman by himself and another couple arrived soon after us, but it started to slowly fill as time progressed. As in the past, the server did not miss a beat and took everything in stride. We will continue to return to Ethel and Fred 's wonderful little restaurant and will highly recommend it to others!"
