"One classic San Diego brunch spot! They have the fairly standard brunch menu but just like most brunch here in San Diego, they offer dishes with a Mexican twist. We walked in for a party of 2 for a Monday brunch and were seated immediately. I'd imagine given the popularity, there will be a waitlist during weekend brunch time. Parking here is a pain as while there is a lot, it is almost always full at all hours of the day, so you will want to budget time to find street parking. My friend and I tried the chorizo scramble, brisket hash, salted caramel budino, and chocolate bacon pancakes. Chorizo scramble has a good amount of chorizo, served with potatoes, a slice of bread, and fruit, so that in itself is a nice meal for one. It also has lots of cheese on top so it makes it quite hearty. The potatoes here are more flavorful than the hash. Brisket hash the brisket here is fairly smoky and tender, and mixed together with the sauce and poached eggs, is another nice dish. The dish did feel quite repetitive quickly even with the variety of ingredients, as without that small dollop of sauce, the dish was a little dry. The salted caramel budino is a coffee drink which is a shot of espresso with lots of whipped cream and caramel. Think of it as a sweet version of an einspänner. Chocolate bacon pancakes were good as a dessert but I honestly felt like I could not taste much of the chocolate nor especially the bacon, so while it sounded interested, I felt a little underwhelmed with this dish. Service is okay as water refills took a while but otherwise our requests are fulfilled relatively on time. Overall, this is a pretty solid brunch place, but I just have had better and have higher expectations given the popularity."

"The atmosphere was quite dreary, lacking any holiday decorations, and instead of festive music, we were subjected to loud soft rock. The only nod to Christmas was some red and green napkins. Unfortunately, the service was abysmal. I ordered a glass of wine that took almost 20 minutes to arrive. They put down an appetizer without informing us what it was. It turned out to be dry pork on a stale crouton, accompanied by other unidentifiable contents that were either too wilted or tasteless. One of the first courses, a lobster bisque, was served with a teaspoon instead of a proper soup spoon, making it challenging to eat without spilling. The bisque tasted like something mass-produced in an industrial kitchen, definitely not fresh. For our main course, we chose the prime rib, but it seemed they had run out of properly cooked meat before we got there. What we received were slabs that were cooked on the edges, while the majority was so raw it was inedible. Dessert was served while we still had our dinner plates on the table. When we asked to take the uneaten meat home to cook it ourselves, they merely dropped plastic containers on the table for us to pack it up. I had no idea the Hyatt had fallen so far. This was an absolutely terrible dining experience, and the service could not have been worse. It was so bad that it almost felt comical. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant or any other location in this hotel chain. Buyer beware!"
