"I came here at 17 in happy hour to meet a friend. I found no problem getting places at the bar. I had 2 glasses of red wine, the rioja and the merlot (merlot was more my taste). we also shared the ropa vieja and the pescado tacos. for dessert we shared the gelato churro waffel. all tasted great. I asked if we could turn on the national football game of women what they did. I'm sure I was the only one to watch. my friend had to go fast and dessert was delayed, so we asked to switch to a bowl of gelato, but he came with the one we originally ordered, apologised and composed. we cut it off quickly because it was so good. eating is a positive improvement of pre-pandemic days and I will be back."

"I was surprised to discover this hotel is in the Bon Voy collection. Despite the hit or miss reviews, I made the reservation. The view of the Truckee River was serene and appealing. The dinner unraveled because of the service. The waitressed seem a bit unsure as to how to answer my questions regarding the wine list. When I asked for a dry white wine from Italy, the recommendation was way off. I realize everyone's tastes are different, so I wasn't too concerned. The octopus was chewy, despite the recommendation that it would not be. The desert menu was limited and not very interesting and by that time I wanted to leave. My request for access to the Wi Fi caused a lot of confusion for the waitress and was only resolved when someone I'm going to assume he was a manager, since he did not introduce himself entered the password. I was disappointed pointed to over hear the hostess present the daily special to the table behind me, which I would have ordered had I been presented the option. Inconsistency with the service warrants three stars but I would come back for the view, but not on a Sunday night."
