"Mally's has restored my faith in Mexican food in New York City. Prior to my visit, I had only encountered disappointing dishes from various Mexican restaurants on the East Coast, often served in a way that resembled something less than appetizing, typically drowning in sour cream. However, Mally's does it right with straightforward, delicious recipes. The chorizo tacos I had were fantastic—loaded with grilled onions, just the right amount of crema, and accompanied by plenty of lime and radishes. The atmosphere is charming, making you feel like you’re in a cozy home kitchen. The music is great, and there's a lovely shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe along with family photos adorning the space. I only deducted one star due to a peculiar smell that lingered a bit."
