"Long time resident of Symmes Twnsp, first time to Korea House. Definitely won't be the last!!Visited on a muggy, gloomy Thursday lunch-hour. Staff was superfriendly. Jess took my order(s and was very knowledgeable of menu as well as soju/wine pairings. Very attentive throughout my entire visit.I sat at the bar area, which was attended by a sushi chef. Didn't order any cocktails, but their shelves are stocked with Ketel One, Absolutely, Jameson, Fireball, Bombay, Beefeater, Jack, Crien Royak, and Meyers' spirits. Drinks menu features sake and soju. I ordered a merlot (because when you're in a Korean restaurant, order a French wine ? which paired well with the deep umami flavors of my meal.I ordered unagi and tomami sashimi, which was reasonably priced for the exquisite quality. Eel was seared and fullsome under the sweet soy glaze and tomago was delicate and fluffy. Lunch entree was served in a stone bowl that kept it hot throughout meal and added a dynamic aspect to the experience in that the rice became caramelized in sauce near the bottom. I asked for gochujiang to increase the heat level (because if you ain't sneezing, it ain't seasoned .Excellent traditional flavors and wonderful staff. Location is quaint and cozy. Perfect for an impromptu date with staff knowledgeable on selections for diners both new and experienced in Korean cuisine."
