"We came to Sage upon recommendation from friends that we were visiting here in Tallahassee. We were celebrating our anniversary and hoped for a wonderful experience as it was a highly recommended restaurant. From the moment we sat down and had to wait 15 minutes before the server even came to the table with water to the hour and 45 minute wait before we got our meal the experience was abysmal. There was no explanation Other than they were backed up. The restaurant wasn’t even that full yet our table and all of the tables around us were waiting for over an hour for any food to show up. The only time the manager showed up was at the end while they were serving all of the tables at the same time approximately an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes after ordering. When we complained to her that we had ordered well before any of our tables she said well I’m just trying to be transparent here we want to plate everything all at once. When the food finally arrived it was not edible. I ordered the most expensive plate on the menu which was the bone in ribeye. There was no meat in the ribeye it was pure fat and gristle. My wife’s dish was severely under cooked. Your first mistake was hiring a millennial as the manager of this restaurant. You will be losing customers left and right. It was clear that she was way out of her league and way over her head and offered no explanation of why this restaurant runs so poorly in her hands. I will never go to this place again and if this is the best that Tallahassee can offer ? Well. I guess there’s a reason why Tallahassee isn’t a culinary destination."

"Prices are too high for the small portion sizes and quality. Shame on me for not ordering online so I would have seen the prices and total but we ordered two entrees, naan, and two appetizers and they charged us $95.We only came here because our usual place (Curry Leaf in Harleysville) was closed. We found out the hard way that Taste of India’s Chicken Tikka Masala entrees are twice the price with half the chicken compared to Curry Leaf.My family usually eats all the food when we do Indian but the night we ordered from here the food went 80% uneaten. Even the naan seemed like it was from a freezer. Yet, despite the price gouging and food quality, the main reason I am writing this review is how smugly the person handing me my food was when he said “by the way, I made sure to give you two things of rice.” I asked, “right… because I ordered two entrees?” And he clarified, “no, you only get one rice when you order two entrees but I gave you two” (as if he was doing me a favor giving me rice with my entrees, something that is a given any place I have ordered from). In other words, their rice policy is that you either get a half order of rice or no rice at all if you only order one $25 entree. That kind of policy is consistent with the food we unpacked at home. The quantity of chicken between the “two” entrees was about the amount of one proper dish. I suspect they are making one dish and serving it as two, charging $50, and telling you they’re doing you a favor."
