"Great concept might be still finding its way organizationally, but it’s a nice place and it has a lot of potential. Some patrons may view it as purely a performance venue (not also a restaurant and bar), which unfortunately resulted in an unpleasant experience during my visit. My friend and I, engaged in a normal conversation while seated at the bar some distance from the stage, seem to have irritated a fellow customer enough to cause her to leave her seat and rudely slam down a ‘low conversations please’ sign probably taken from her table in the performance seating area onto the bar between us. We found this surprising and rather aggressive (as did our bartender). I think if the club had been more full, there would have been a quiet hum of conversation around the bar and in the dining area away from the stage and thus our talking would not have been as distinguishable. So I hope the club draws bigger crowds as time goes on and that everybody can be comfortable with their chosen experience. Until then, if you want to go with friends and you might want to chat with them, you probably should sit farther away from the stage you’ll still be able to hear the music and see the performers on the big screen monitors around the club. I’d really like for this place to succeed, and I hope they will continue to book good artists and groups Baltimore needs a good jazz club like this!"

"So I order a burger called the AJ10 (created by Adam Jones). It came with tots. I asked for no lettuce, tomato, or mayo. The waitress told me she'd have to ring it in as a build your own burger because the cooks can't change anything but the bun or cheese on a specialty burger. Stupid, but whatever. So the bill comes and I was charged $3 for tots. I asked the waitress and said I thought that burger came with tots...it said so on the menu. She told me since she had to ring it in as a build your own, the tots were extra. And said it like it was ok. Now I'm annoyed. I said, well, my arguement would be, if the cooks were smart enough to read a ticket, they could've made it the way I asked. She said she'd ask the manager and he'd probably take it off. She comes back and said they took the tots off and they'll give it to me this time since it was my first time there. I said well, again, there's nothing to give me. I ordered the AJ10, it comes with tots. She gets into with me again about the build your own. So I again said it's not my fault the cooks are simpletons. Look...it's not the $3...it's the principal of the thing. I could wipe my ass with $3 and it wouldn't matter to me. I'm gonna drop $400 in two weeks at Gordon Ramsay Steak and not think twice about it. And you're gonna harangue me for $3. Ok, I won't ever come back and spend my money elsewhere. Money I have...patience for ignorance I don't."

"SERVICE NOT THE SAME read below why Azure has been a staple restaurant for my family for over a decade. The food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS. My mom and I dined here Saturday evening 4 9 22 and our service was TERRIBLE. Mildly busy but not crazy. (I served for a year in college at a local fine dining steak house). I was so excited to be back in Lexington since graduating food was still amazing. I got the pork chop entree for $38 I would definitely order again IF the dining experience improves. The food did not take long at all it was everything else! We called two hours ahead for rsvp told there would be a booth table available (we 're very short ladies). We arrive and a host openly says oh we gave that booth away to another couple right before you walked in Lol dang okay, but also DONT REVEAL that to customer? He appeared young so probably didn 't know care. But the only table available was a high top even though 9 other tables were empty inside.. We get moved to a 4 top table. Bottom line, don 't assure something is available then it 's not then say oh we have it away ??? Integrity should matter (Integrity should matter). Secondly, the wine suggested to us was not anywhere close to Kim Crawford. The recommendation was far off. (Servers should have more accurate knowledge of wine menu if going to suggest). Took our server over 10mins to finally get our order. Mid waiting, they open the doors from the patio seating area on a day it SNOWED. So obviously it was freezing I witnessed on two occasions where food was brought out to tables then walked back to the kitchen for whatever reason (wrong table, wrong entre)? I had to wait for our servers attention for a water refill, to go box, the check the entire evening. Would be talking at the expo counter overlooked our hand gestures politely waiting. (Servers should be attentive on their tables) Food amazing but Overall, 2 10 because staff needs better training efficiency. I 've served at a local steakhouse restaurant, when I was hired for the job, every single staff had to know the drinks menu, specials, main menu front to back. We had a strict dress policy. Strict turn over table time. And ALL the servers were attentive as a team IF ANY table requested extra, or sauce, or a side the first server available would put it in make sure the kitchen knew. No server would ever be seen from the dining floor, just staring around chit chatting. If we did you do it in the back. Presentation matters. And lastly, each table seat had a number that all servers memorized before hiring. That prevents wrong entre being brought to a table. Take a written test if you fail twice, you 're not hired. Simple as that. For a restaurant as high end, I want high end service. Took over an hour for dinner for what was supposed to be in out dinner before a show. BEING ATTENTIVE TO YOUR TABLES QUICK TURNOVER FOR MORE TABLES HAPPY CUSTOMER BIG TIP."
