"On a positive note, the seared tuna appetizer and the winter salad were both fantastic. The bread was delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the escarole as well. My companion, Briano, had an excellent bun too!
As someone with dietary sensitivities, I requested the cod to be prepared without paprika or tomato. While the staff didn’t mention it would be a problem, I probably should have insisted on the specifics. Instead, the chef recycled the sauce from the escarole and bread, simply adding a few mussels to the purple potatoes for a rather mediocre entrée. It felt unnecessary.
The apple crumble dessert was tasty, but we weren’t warned about how hot the filling would be under the ice cream. Unfortunately, I burned myself on it. Overall, there were some great elements, but the service issues and missteps in my meal prevented it from being truly outstanding."
