"Our reservation for 6 was made at 530p. (I feel like they do it on the half hour). It's BYOB (we brought soda -LOL) if not they do serve water. No one asked us about soda. A bunch of other people were also waiting for them to open at 530. They started to seat people a few minutes after in no organized manner. We were sat outside bc they had no room inside. I knew this when I made the reservation. Outside seating is plastic folding tables and folding hard seats. Luckily the weather was nice. We didn't get a view of the inside at all. It took about 15 minutes for us to get our first order in which we took the premade platter of 5 different nigiri (2/person). Before we could order our next round, we needed to eat everything however when we were down to the last pieces they took our order. 2nd round needed to be hand rolls. Then after rounds could be mixed. Rules for the rounds are 5 different choices. They will bring out 2nigiri per person and 1 hand roll per person. You can choose to have less but it still counts towards the 5 different choices. Water refills came pretty constant enough. They do bring wasabi and shoyu. Extra napkins u do need to ask. Complimentary from the chef they also bring a plate of salmon bone. Review: outside seating felt like I was at someone's house in the patio and we were having sushi. The service was just okay. If u have a service background you would think it was a joke. To give them credit though, they are all young, it's busy with other parties and I'm assuming just 2 chefs?? That's all we could see from outside. Food service was kinda slow. I wanna say we waited a good 15 between each order and when it came out. The nigiri come out together for the most part. And rolls come out as they are done so we got all 5 one after another. Quality of fish was not great. Some were pretty grainy. Others were chewy. Just not enough flavor. Rice had a little lot of vinegar. Rice portion for nigiri was ok to kinda big. And the hand rolls were too much rice couldn't really even taste what I was eating. Asked if I could do scallop hand roll in nigiri but was told no. Tried the spicy unagi and spicy ahi... very small portions of what I'm suppose to taste. Overpowered by the rice. Scallop was obsolete. California was okay. Natto probably better without the vegetable. Unagi was the crowd favorite followed by ahi nigiri. Our family didn't care for white fish. Tamago and ebi didn't have the sweetness that we were use to. Hand rolls nori got soft and chewy. For $32.95/person we probably will not be back. *we are spoiled or accustomed to Vegas ayce sushi and this one cannot compare to what u can get there. Ordering in rounds is kinda a bummer. Stringy fish is not our forte. The wait I think is the biggest downfall. Then comes the ordering in rounds. The great thing is that you get fed. We went home not full. And was able to grab dessert from someplace else. Parking is behind. You can walk through a skinny opening instead of going down and around. $2 flat rate."
