"Lovely reviews I see, so we decided to give it a try. I am a bit spoiled for having travelled extensively in Japan, so my review may be a little biased. Granted, I am a purist when it comes to sushi, so the mexican touches on the rolls where not to myliking. If I concentrate solely on freshness and quality, there are good points and low points. The Ikura was not great, verysmall, and bland. The fatty salmon on the other hand was great, as was the locally sourced Uni. The specialty rolls, whereabsolutely not special at all. One of them had the top layer of fish completely smushed and dry. The scallop roll was like avery small taco. The fried crab ?specialty? roll was just weird, and thinly sliced, which made it a challenge to pick up. Thequality/prep of the rice was off. Also, the orders where one by one, meaning on ikura order for example is just one piece. I?mpretty sure there is a rule against that. Overall I feel that the chefs are amateurs in over their heads, and do not respect theartistry and culture established by the sushi gods. An experience not to be repeated for me."
