"Linguini with clam sauce was good. It's funny how much you can tell about a place from this one dish: do they use canned chopped clams or fresh? If the clams are in the shell, is the sauce gritty? Did they drain the pasta enough when they scooped it out of the steam table? Is the sauce watery? Are they afraid of garlic? I liked the answers to all of these questions here. We got Irish coffees for dessert, and those were pretty to look at but not as good to drink. The whole deal with Irish coffee is that you sip the hot coffee through soft (and very cold) whipped cream. Here, the cream on top was whipped so stiff that it was hard to drink. You had to stir it in before you could really drink the coffee. The coffee was too strong, too--more like espresso than coffee, you'll get more of a buzz from that than the whiskey. It's a small place, and the tables are close together. It's also very busy. Service is good."

"Update from January 30, 2022: This restaurant remains a favorite in our lineup of go-to dining spots. The quality of both the food and service consistently exceeds expectations. I really appreciate that they require proof of vaccination for diners. My personal favorite dish is the eggplant parmigiana. We've tried nearly everything on the menu, and it has never disappointed us. We've been visiting this fantastic place for over 15 years. They currently offer both indoor and outdoor dining, and the bar is open as well. The food and service are just as exceptional as ever, providing a warm, homey atmosphere. I love dipping their bread in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I usually order from their specials or get the linguini with shrimp. I also recommend the ravioli, calamari, lasagna—honestly, everything is great. For dessert, the tiramisu and crème brûlée are our top picks. We celebrated my friend's 40th birthday here before the pandemic, and they even created a personalized menu for the occasion."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case."

"We were running late and they were totally accommodating to our arrival time. The wine was delicious and the mixed drinks were also great. Our waitress was incredible and knew a lot about the menu and had clearly tried a good amount of the food based on her recommendations. The food was good, not great however. The pasta was al dente which was nice but the flavors were weak and the chicken was under seasoned almost as if it was boiled. The ricotta cheesecake was a cooked perfectly and I would come back just for it. Ultimately a great night and great atmosphere so worth the visit but wish the food was more flavorful."
