"Isle of Capri is an oasis in NYC. Sadly, Jane, the matriarch passed away recently, and everyone misses her presence. The quality of the food is still excellent. I had the rigatoni alla vodka, my friend had the baby rack of lamb. Both were excellent and as good as any I've had in Rome. When you arrive, they greet you like family. You can sit at the windows or in the main dining part, but either way you can't beat the professional service and the exceptional cooking. I've been there dozens of times and have always experienced the consistent high quality. Their quality is top and the people make it a great place to escape from the noise of Third Avenue. The manager was gracious and accommodating. Try it for lunch or dinner and you'll be happy, well-fed, and relaxed."
