"We’ve been going to Pomodoros’s for years and we love its proximity to home-10 minutes away. We were celebrating my birthday, which I also included on my reservation. Unfortunately, as the restaurant began to fill up, our server became overwhelmed. We had to ask for bread and water because our server was doing his best, but it was clearly beyond his control. The General Manager was helping to do as much as possible to serve the guests and maintain a calm demeanor! He was literally all over the place, delivering drinks, clearing tables, answering the phone, serving food—he was exceptional! Our food was delicious and that’s the important part. Clearly this restaurant could use more staff and I hope they will be able to do so. I’ll be back because their food is the best Italian food in the area!"

"We've been doing take out from Vivoli for a few years--and it was always fabulous. We had never dined in the restaurant until we had guests from Germany who we took there. The four of us loved every course: pizza, carpaccio, eggplant parm, knudi and more. It's one of the best little Italian joints in LA. The outdoor dining, however, is on a parking lot and not exactly scenic. But comfy. I'd rather order food to go but it does get a nice local clientele."

"Our family had a great experience at this restaurant. We loved the outdoor seating and the staff quickly accommodated us when it started raining unexpectedly. We were able to stay dry under an umbrella and a big tree, and the rain soon stopped. Our teenage kids, who don't frequent nice restaurants often, enjoyed the creative appetizers, especially the homemade croutons on the Caesar salad. The meals were all very tasty and we were too full for dessert, which was a shame because I have had the chocolate bread pudding with Baileys before and it is amazing. There are many delicious options on the menu, including the scallops, duck, key lime chicken, and flank steak. You can't go wrong with any choice!"

"The food was exceptional and absolutely delicious. I requested a substitution of chicken for veal in their martini dish, and the staff happily accommodated my request. My husband ordered the shrimp risotto special, which was simply mouthwatering, and my son enjoyed the spinach pasta. Although my son wasn't fond of his salad, that was the only misstep of the evening. The busboy was genuinely interested in understanding his opinion, which was a nice touch. I also tried a Malibu Bay Breeze, and it had the perfect tropical flavor. The service was top-notch, and there was plenty of parking available. I'm glad we decided to give Gavi another chance. The prices were competitive and fair. Make sure to save room for dessert! We can't wait to return."

"thanks for a great meal. This is a very cozy restaurant. I mean that in a positive way. The temperature, lighting and din of diners were inviting and welcoming. They had front and rear eating areas both nice. The tables and chairs were not uncomfortable and separated nicely. The noise was a little loud but maybe that's because we sat next to the bar. The service was perfectly attentive and helpful. We started with the warm antipasto. Baked claims were delicious. A little smallish but had a perfect amount of breadcrumbs and seasoned splendidly. The rice balls were so tender and mixed with delicious cheese. The shrimps were smallish but not disappointingly so. They too were delicious The calamari...there were no tentacles which to me is normally the sin qua non of pork anus being clandestinely used as a substitute for the calamari. Not here. The calamari was delicious! Lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. For my main meal, I asked for them to make me veal parmigiana. They obliged; and I was in heaven. The veal was tender and perfectly hugged by a toothsome crust. It was coated with some wonderful mozzarella cheese and baked marvelously until piping hot. So, there are no free lunches and the issue here was it was a very small portion two 3 inch medallions. I'm in a diet so was in mirthful glee because the small potion prevented me from over eating, but in all fairness...for an average diner with an above average appetite, consider a couple of appetizers or sides because there is a chance you might otherwise be less than satiated. BTW, pasta was a small portion too seemed like about a cup of food maybe one and a half. I was told the cannolis were delicious a perfect crisp shell and homemade cream! I am coming back. No doubt. The food was sooo good and the atmosphere and service amazing. As noted, I might get a salad course *and*appetizer course as well as a side *in addition to* the one that comes with the meal."

"Our first visit to this restaurant was slightly unpleasant. Despite having made a 5:45 pm reservation through Open Table the day before, the restaurant did not receive it due to a glitch in their system. Although there were many open tables when we arrived, we were seated with the impression that it was causing an issue for the staff. We waited for 20 minutes without being greeted by a waiter, while other tables around us who arrived after us were being served. After flagging down a busboy, a waiter eventually came to our table and apologized for the delay, citing a busy evening. The restaurant felt uncomfortably humid, suggesting an issue with the air conditioning. The food was tasty and the service improved once we were attended to, but we are hesitant to return in the future."

"Always a favorite with us. The service is always good and the food is just fantastic. One person in our group got this spinach salad and it was so good that all of us started trying to steal bits of it from her. Their pizza is truly one of the best you'll find in the DC metro area. You basically have to go to New York to get a better New York style pizza. This is always a go-to place when we just want a good slice of pizza and a very casual atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're into a good slice of New York styled pizza get yourself over to Mamma Lucia. Side note their gluten-free cauliflower crust pizza is also really good. So if you can't eat gluten this is still a great place for you to grab a slice of pizza."

Food was ok and service was good. In my opinion the soup which I ordered was too plain, the pasta we ordered had few olives and tomatoes only with olive oil. It was little plain and thank God for the olives and tomatoes. I found the chicken having a strong smell of chicken but ignored it. We definitely enjoyed the warm bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar we were served.We had a little celebration as our younger one passed her 2 years of medical school and getting prepared for her rotation. "We dined as a party of four last night with a reservation for 7:15. Unfortunately, they had already run out of the ravioli special and the Caesar salad, which was a bit disappointing since it was still early in the evening. However, our waitress was fantastic and suggested other specials that turned out to be delicious. She provided excellent service and even called out the specials for us a few times. The food was great, but the noise level was excessively high. We found ourselves having to yell to each other and lean across the table just to hear one another. Overall, the food was wonderful, but the noise level was quite overwhelming."

"I stopped at this restaurant for a quick meal and I was impressed. I ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza, 1 slice of pepperoni pizza, and a side of hot wings. The cheese slice was delicious, although it could have had a bit more flavor. The hot wings could have been cooked a bit longer and were larger than usual, but they still tasted great. The service was excellent and there was plenty of parking available. The restaurant had a family-friendly atmosphere, which I really enjoyed."

"If there was zero stars I would do that. Let?s start with the service? there is no service. The staff was borderline annoyed that we were even there. I mean, we?re paying $7 for tiny side of potatoes! At least bring us waters when we sit. We did sitoutside because it?s impossible to sit inside, talk about that later. It wasn?t even busy. No excuses. I walked in to find abathroom and staff is just standing around. Wine came with a bug in it, replaced it with cork pieces in it. The food wasmediocre. All pre made, prepackaged. Nothing is fresh, except maybe the salad. I don?t even know what rush to start with. Noneof it was good. Inside there is a leak in the ceiling and I do believe there was a leak the last time we wanted to eat there butit smelled too bad inside so we changed our minds. Yes, it stinks inside! The bathroom is my biggest complaint here. I took myson to the boys bathroom, I could not be in there. There is no AC and the smell is so bad my eyes literally stung! My son got abloody nose!!!!!!! I mean, please someone clean that bathroom and get some air in there. It?s revolting. I?ve never had aworse experience in Sarasota restaurants. I do not recommend. Not for food, no drinks, not for anything."

"The place is small but WORTH IT. Authentic Italian cuisine and the pasta are made fresh. From veal ravioli to prosciutto pizza, I've had it all, and no dish disappoints. Don't forget about the desert! Panna cotta is my go-to. Although not on the menu, they can also make you affogato if you're looking for a simple classic Italian dessert. Lastly, the owner is awesome, as well as the server that handles large parties. He's super impressive because he doesn't have to write your order down. It comes to you accurate, and he knows Italian. Foretti's is 5 stars all around!"

"After many years of trying to get a reservation, I finally dined at this restaurant. The outdoor seating was pleasant and the service was incredibly fast. I ordered the veal scaloppini, but it arrived looking quite gray, lacking flavor, and was served cold. It seems that the pasta dishes are also suffering from a similar fate. I wouldn’t order the veal again. Our server was charming and efficient, so I have no complaints about the service, but the entrée definitely needs more attention to detail."
