"Next, we received our appetizer: a burrata cheese salad, which was delicious! Alongside, we were served a basket of homemade focaccia bread with a small carafe of seasoned oil for dipping. When our entrees arrived, I had the Veal Piccata, and my husband had the special—spaghetti bolognese with sausage.
I noticed the pizza oven and mentioned to my husband that he should take a look. He did, and soon after, the owner, Rob, came over to chat with him about pizzas and home ovens. While we were enjoying our dinner, a cheese pizza appeared at our table courtesy of Rob. We let it cool for a bit, as it was still hot from the wood-fired oven, and decided to save half of our dinner to make room for it. I'm so glad we did; it was incredible.
Once we finished our meals, it was time for dessert. They generously offered complimentary zeppoles, which we gladly accepted, and I ordered an espresso as well.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant, our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Rob was very welcoming and genuinely interested in our feedback. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious food. We'll definitely return whenever we are in town. This place is truly THE ITALIAN RESTAURANT OF SARASOTA!"
