"The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are fantastic, but the service is truly exceptional! Nick went out of his way to make my daughter feel special and grown-up during our visit. She was just 12 years old the first time we came, and he even took the time to give her an encouraging pep talk about not letting bullies get her down. She really needed to hear that, so thank you so much, Nick! His ability to read people and customize their experience is impressive. As someone with 25 years of experience in the service industry and currently managing a restaurant, I can confidently say that Akebono consistently provides some of the best service I've encountered in Des Moines. The sushi chefs are incredible, too! Overall, it's one of my favorite places. Please keep up the great work!"
