After waiting for 20 more minutes and at least six different staff members passing by us, we decided to leave. We never had the opportunity to taste the food, and we would not return due to the poor experience."

"I recently dined at Polcaris’s the restaurant came highly recommended. While the ambiance was charming and the service attentive, I was disappointed with the shrimp pasta special. The dish arrived looking appetizing, with a generous portion of shrimp atop a bed of perfectly al dente pasta. However, upon taking my first bite, it was clear that the shrimp had been overcooked. They were tough and lacked the succulent, tender texture that makes shrimp such a delight in Italian cuisine. This unfortunately overshadowed the otherwise well-prepared components of the dish. The sauce was flavorful, and the pasta was cooked to perfection, but the overcooked shrimp left much to be desired. Given the price point and the restaurant's reputation, I had expected better execution on such a staple dish. Despite this setback, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. The appetizers and dessert were excellent, and the wine selection was impressive. I hope they are able to addresses this issue, as it has the potential to be an outstanding dining experience with a few adjustments. Other than that, the pizza is good!"

"Our meal started out great. After having our salad course, which we had ordered at the same time as our main course, we were ready for our entrees. We waited, and waited-we called our server over who hadn’t been back to the table since our salad course was cleared. She made a quick comment that our food was coming and moved on. We then waited and waited until we again called her over asking where our food was. She again said it was coming. I explained that it was taking a very long time. She didn’t apologize or even try to explain, she just kept repeating that it was coming. Another 5 minutes later, our food came out-drowning in sauce, sauce congealed and looking anything other than freshly prepared-with the exception of my husbands. Again, our server was not around our table and I had to get up to find a manager. When we told the manager of our issue, showing the plates of food akin to what one would find at a greasy diner, he said he would take the food away and comp our glasses of wine. My son kept his dish as he was super hungry and needed food. When getting the bill, only the uneaten food was removed, leaving us with a full bill for both my son’s less than amazing chicken dish and our glasses of wine. We then had to wait again for our server to pay the bill so my husband went to find the manager to pay so we could get out of there. Extremely disappointing, especially for the prices that Rosebuds is charging. As a family who eats downtown Naperville 1-2 a week, we will not be back! Our Italian meals will be enjoyed at Francesca’s down the street instead."

"J'ai organisé un souper de fête en décembre dernier pour une trentaine de personnes et j'ai eu dans l'ensemble une très bonne expérience. Le gérant est très flexible et m'a concocté un menu qui incluait entrée, repas principal, dessert, café à prix très raisonnable (21,95 $) et à choix multiples pour tous les goûts. La salade césar est EXCELLENTE ainsi que le New York Steak. Il a même permis que l'on puisse choisir quelques repas à la carte; assez rare pour un grand groupe et en décembre de surcroît. La nourriture était très bonne et des vins à prix raisonnables. Le service était assez bien. La force de cette brasserie est qu'elle offre un musicien qui anime toute la soirée et une piste de danse. Elle offre également des écrans géants pour suivre le hochey ou autres matchs. Le bémol est que la musique est beaucoup trop forte. Les gens doivent crier pour s'entendre, surtout près des haut-parleurs.Je recommande cet endroit pour son rapport qualité-prix."

"We specifically went to Polcari’s to get their chicken fra diavolo and they don’t offer it any longer. In fact, their menu was downsized and quite a few meals they no longer offer such as the shrimp fra diavolo, chicken cavatapi, chicken soltimbocca, mussels and a few others. If it wasn’t for our fabulous waitress, Jennifer, we would have left. She was professional, friendly and accommodating. I got the grilled chicken salad because there was nothing on the menu I liked. They use to have a big menu with quite a few different options. Along with their lousy menu, the atmosphere has changed. It looks like a bar inside not the Italian ambiance of an iconic Italian Restaurant. If I wanted a bar type restaurant, I’d go to the Yard House. I saw 2 other parties sit down, then all of a sudden they got up and left. I heard they weren’t happy with the menu either."

"Order was perfect got a large pie extra cheese and fries. Fries were excellent, pizza itself was really good, no seasoning required as I normally add garlic crushed red pepper and oregano to my pizza. The end crust had a sweetness to it which was different, im thinking a sourdough. No complaints just threw me off guard. Ordered through Uber eats food arrived at perfect eating temp. Overall no complaints, was just shocked by the crust. Will definitely order from there again."

"first loved the ambiente. there were constant music (no pause) and it was all fantastic! - like our kind of melodies. the personal is great. helpful, courteous, friendly. dreave even stopped and loved eating. some favorites: dreaves salat, pear salad and brie pizza with grapes, which we asked for crispy and actually got it crispy. I love unique pizzas. john thought it would be nice to have a basic pfefferoni beside the available options. overall it was a very pleasant evening."

"Great wine selections. Cheesy bread was off the charts! Huge pasta dishes. Plenty to share… ordered the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo and pan fried chicken on top of penne a la vodka. Scrumptious! Took more than half home. Had enough for two more meals. Really an overly generous portion. Service was decent. Our party greeted her before she said hello. Maybe a long day. Waited a long time for the check, then the boxes and then the receipt. But there was no wait on a busy Saturday so that’s something good for the busy holiday season. Will always return."

"The people are very nice but I would not come back I'm afraid.. I don't think they are really having quality control on the food coming out of the kitchen. The place was not busy and so maybe the quality of ingredients are not the best. The salad could feed 5 people.. Caesar you can't really take home. There is usually a bread service to go with Italian. That was missed. Then finally the dishes were so cold my wife's food felt like it was take from the fridge it was so cold. I had the beef short rib and it was just warm. The pasta was ice cold and watery and the sauce was room temperature and jelly like. The chicken was the only hot thing but it was burnt. My mashed potato's were so cold like they were taken from the fridge reheated and then sat for a while. Plus large pieces of potato and another tell tale sign was watery and not creamy. My short rib was also cold and when I had them take it back I waited forever. The sauce was split and not fresh either.. When it finally came back it still wasn't hot but room temp. The waitress was awesome and people like I said were nice but the food quality I give it a one star and the service brings it up to two stars. Sad to see but in Mandeville it's hard to have a great restaurant because there just isn't enough people dining out. So I hope they can make changes for the better and make food better.."

"On Saturday night, the restaurant was very quiet. We were seated at 7:30 and no one else came in after us. I ordered the Sunday Ragu, and while the sauce was delicious, the sausage was just okay. The meatball was dry and overcooked, and instead of beef braciole, I received a stuffed chicken roll that I did not like. One of my friends ordered shrimp parm and enjoyed it, while another friend had the sausage scarpiello and thought it was only okay. Someone else ordered the veal and found it to be tough and dry, leaving most of the meal uneaten. However, dessert was very good. This was surprising because we had a great lunch there about a month ago. Perhaps it was just an off night."

"We loved Louisa's place when we visited this morning. We come from Britain and read online that this was a great place for breakfast in the area. We loved both the city of SLO in general and Louisa's place in particular. The best breakfast place we have found in the USA for several years, and the staff made the experience special. "Spacious seating, clean, and excellent range of burgers and fresh salads and more. We just had 2 simple and ordinary cheeseburgers. But they were cooked to perfection with lightly toasted bun and crisp fresh onions, tomato and lettuce. "We were quickly welcomed by the staff, and the atmosphere was inviting. Our waiter, Giorgio F, greeted us promptly, but after that, we felt neglected. We had to request his attention to order a bottle of wine, while other staff members took care of water, bread, and cleaning tables. It was frustrating to see him spend more time chatting with nearby tables than checking in on us; he would make eye contact but then walk away without any acknowledgment. He didn't inquire about our meal, clear any dishes, or offer us more bread. After we finished our meals, we had to ask for the dessert menu and ended up clearing our own table. Our bill totaled $160.20, based on a level of service that would typically earn a tip of $45+, but in this case, it certainly did not. It's worth mentioning that everyone at our table has experience in the food service industry, with half of us still working in it. We left feeling very disappointed. I truly feel sorry for the owner, as this employee's lack of service could lead to greater losses for the restaurant."

"First of all, the location is great, situated in a lovely shopping center right next to Northern Arizona University. Inside, there are plenty of tables, and they also have a charming terrace with outdoor seating and a fireplace, which is perfect for a cool day. The food was outstanding! I will mention that it is a bit pricey, but you’re paying for high-quality dishes, so I think it's worth it. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including salads, sandwiches, soups, and more. I tried the Reuben, which was generously filled and delicious, served with homemade chips. I also had a cup of creamy sausage lentil soup that was exquisite! My fiancé ordered a side of mac and cheese, which looked tempting even though I’m not a fan of it, and she also got a large salad. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a nice breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or even just to grab a sandwich while you explore the beautiful Flagstaff!"

"After a recent disappointment with a chain pizza restaurant, I decided to try some local Mom and Pop options to support small businesses. I placed my order for a pizza through the Slice app, and it was ready for me when I arrived—no waiting at all. The price was average, yet still reasonable. We ordered a white gourmet pizza with spinach and tomato. According to the menu, it was supposed to have spinach, sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and ricotta. However, what we received had only a bit of spinach for color, chunks of tomato, and large dollops of ricotta that seemed more for looks than flavor. While the pizza was quite visually appealing, it lacked in taste. The spinach was hardly noticeable, and the tomatoes weren’t sliced as advertised. The ricotta might have added something if it were mixed with the mozzarella, which is standard in any pizza—so why even mention it? Personally, I thought it was just okay, but my wife and son were not impressed at all. My son even remarked, “Dad, I didn’t even like the crust.” Overall, it was somewhat okay but lacking in flavor."
