"I respectfully request to die by drowning in The Coronado's San Jose sauce. The food is all phenomenal, and the sauces make it out of this world. We had: Fried guacamole: my husband said the guac was great, but even as someone who could only eat the chips and sauces, this was a treat. Sweet potato pancakes: delicious and not too sweet (but served with a side of maple syrup so if you want a bit more sweetness you can DIY). Farmyard hash with a biscuit: served with the previously mentioned San Jose sauce, a fantastic mix of veggies and tofu scramble that was perfectly seasoned. I especially love brussels sprouts and crispy potatoes in a hash, so this was my favorite thing on the table. The accompanying biscuit had great flavor and was served with a side of butter and jam. Biscuits gravy: a solid vegan gravy, great herby, peppery flavor. Horchata: if you like horchata, you'll love this made with coconut milk, so it's not 100% traditional, but you won't mind for a minute. Already looking forward to our next visit, probably...tomorrow."
